Lexington Catholic athletic director Andy Listerman and head coach Brandon Salsman have put together another excellent event.  Eleven of the top twenty-five teams in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are scheduled to participate in this event.  They are #6 Mason County, #8 Lexington Catholic, #9 Doss, #11 Male, #13 Covington Catholic, #16 Apollo, #18 Henry Clay, #19 Clark County, #21 Holmes, #22 Simon Kenton, and #25 Russell.

Several of the top players in the state are scheduled to play in this star-studded event.  Ten of the top twenty-five players in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are featured in this tournament.  The players are #3 Darius Miller (Mason County), #4 Jeff Brooks (Doss), #11 Preston Knowles (Clark County), #12 Jonathan VanHoose (Russell), #15 Tyler Brown (Apollo), #16 Douglas Beaumont (Male), #18 Victor Moses (Henry Clay), #21 Davin Anderson (Doss), #24 Clark Stepp (June Buchanan), and #25 Austin Hill (Holmes).

The Lexington Herald-Leader preview also listed the best players in each region, and the number one player in six of the 16 regions is scheduled to play in this tournament.  The regionally ranked number one players in this event are Tyler Brown (Region 3), Jeff Brooks (Region 6), Mike Hester (Simon Kenton) (Region 8), Austin Hill (Region 9), Darius Miller (Region 10), and Jonathan VanHoose (Region 16).

There will be a total of 38 games played over a five day period, culminating in an overall championship game to be played on December 30th.  I will attempt to provide a capsule report for each game I personally view.  Spelling of players' names varies from program to program and sometimes the heights of the players also vary so I apologize in advance for any unintentional inaccuracies.
