Paul Dunbar coach Carl "Redd" Hutchinson started the following lineup:  6-3 So. D’Andre Webb, 5-9 Fr. Marquis Clay, 6-6 Sr. Deontay Wright, 5-9 So. Seth Davis, and 5-11 So. Dion Johnson.  Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles countered with 6-4 So. Aaron Boyd, 6-2 Sr. Aaron Miller, 6-4 So. Victor Moses, 5-11 Jr. Chase Minnifield, and 6-2 Sr. Aaron Dunaway.

Henry Clay raced out to a 56-31 lead in the first half on their way to an 88-67 victory over Paul Dunbar.  Aaron Dunaway sizzled from the field in the first half with a 21 point performance on seven of 10 from the field including four of four from beyond the arc and three of three from the free throw line.  The second half was a different story as Dunaway was not as involved in the offense and Henry Clay was guilty of several turnovers.  Dunbar actually outscored the Blue Devils 36-32 in the second half.

Henry Clay shot 53.3% from the field including 61.1% in the first half.  The Blue Devils connected on 18 of 24 free throws and pulled down 44 rebounds.  Henry Clay scored 29 points off 25 Dunbar turnovers.  Paul Dunbar shot 39.7% from the field, only connected on 19 of 40 free throws and grabbed 33 rebounds.  The Bulldogs scored 25 points off 27 Henry Clay turnovers.

Aaron Dunaway led the victors with 25 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Dunaway was eight of 15 from the field including four of five from beyond the arc and five of five from the charity stripe.  Aaron Miller added 16 points and nine rebounds.  Victor Moses, 5-10 Jr. Travis Bowman, and Chase Minnifield added 14, 14, and 12 points respectively.

Deontay Wright led Paul Dunbar with 19 points and 13 rebounds.  Wright was five of eight from the field but only nine of 20 from the free throw line.  Dion Johnson added 16 points and eight steals.  6-0 Sr. Delreo Webb added 15 points and eight rebounds.
