Lafayette (11-5) at Bryan Station (12-4)

Lafayette coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup:  6-3 Sr. Greg Leslie, 5-10 So. Dante Stewart, 6-8 Sr. Tyler Wilkerson, 5-10 So. Tommy Gifford, and 6-1 Sr. Pete Gifford.  Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon countered with 6-3 Jr. Stefan Lewis, 6-2 So. Dacoby Burnett, 6-5 Jr. Jaron Jones, 5-11 Sr. De’ire Foxx, and 6-2 So. Shelvin Mack.

Lafayette held off a late surge by Bryan Station in the closing seconds to capture an 86-84 victory.  Lafayette shot 53.8% from the field, including eight of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Generals pulled down 30 rebounds and scored 16 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers.  Lafayette was 22 of 27 from the free throws line.

Lafayette scored 24 points off 21 Bryan Station turnovers.  The Blue Devils increased their margin to 14, 58-44 with 3:02 remaining in the game.  Bryan Station mounted a furious rally to tie the score at 59-59 with 41 seconds remaining on the clock.  Victor Moses hit a layup to give Lafayette a 84-59 lead with 30 seconds remaining and the Blue Devils hit their free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

Bryan Station shot 48.6% from the field, connected on 10 of 16 free throws and grabbed 38 rebounds.  The Defenders scored 30 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.  Bryan Station held a 30-7 advantage in bench scoring and a 26-16 margin in second chance points.

Dante Stewart led Lafayette with 31 points including 12 of 15 from the free throw line and pulled down six rebounds.  Tyler Wilkerson added 21 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.  Pete Gifford and Tommy Gifford added 12 and 10 points respectively, with Tommy Gifford dishing out six assists.  Shelvin Mack led Bryan Station with 28 points and eight rebounds.  6-2 Sr. Kearney Demus and Dacoby Burnett added 14 and 10 points respectively.
