Third Annual Middle School State Tournament

The Kentucky Basketball Academy will host the Middle School State Tournament this weekend.  Forty-six teams have accepted invitations to participate in this event.  The teams scheduled to participate are Corbin, King, Meece, Georgetown, Harrison County 8th, Mason County, Paris, Frankfort Christian, Middlesboro, Sayre, Elkhorn, Lincoln County, Anderson County, East Jessamine, St. Joseph-Cold Spring, Harrison County 7th, Second Street, Highlands, Gray, Scott County, North Oldham 8th, A.B. Combs, Monticello, Taylor County, Rose Hill, North Oldham 7th, June Buchanan, Pineville, Jenkins, Mountain Christian, Dorton, South Laurel, East Carter, Sebastian, Muhlenberg South, R.W. Combs, Meade County, Summit View, Jackson Independent, Bardstown, St. Romuald, North Laurel, Spencer County, Graves County, Wayne County, and Elliott County.

Forty-four of the teams will play in preliminary games with the entire field starting the single elimination tournament on Saturday morning.  The tourney brackets will be posted at the Kentucky Basketball Academy.
