Tates Creek (17-4) at Lafayette (12-6) (Boys)
Tates Creek coach Joe Pat Covington started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Jonas Adams, 6-2 Sr. Josh Bell, 6-6 Sr. Michael Cross, 5-10 Sr. Albert Hughes, and 6-2 Jr. Justin Taylor. Lafayette coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-6 Sr. Kevin Grantlin, 6-0 Sr. Gene Cotton, 6-8 Jr. Darnell Dialls, 6-0 Sr. Adam Coleman, and 6-0 Jr. Marcus Barron.
Lafayette jumped out to an 11-0 lead as Tates Creek missed their first ten shots from the field. Tates Creek closed the gap to 43-37 in the fourth quarter but Lafayette, despite going eight for 20 from the free throw line in the second half, held on for a 56-47 victory. Lafayette held a 45.8%-27.1% edge in field goal shooting and outrebounded Tates Creek 47-32. Neither team could find the mark from the charity stripe as Tates Creek was eight of 18 and Lafayette was nine of 23 for the evening.
Lafayette was led tonight by 6-6 Jr. Nic Mullins with 13 points and seven rebounds. Kevin Grantlin added 11 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Darnell Dialls chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds. Tates Creek was led tonight by 6-2 Jr. Cameron Cross with 13 points. Michael Cross added 10 points and seven rebounds. Justin Taylor, who was well defended by Lafayette tonight, added six points and seven rebounds. Taylor is an excellent athlete with the ability to dominate a game if allowed to get on track.

Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Erika Rasmussen, 5-10 Jr. Blythe Brown, 5-8 So. Destiny Mattingly, 5-8 Sr. Megan Foster, and 5-7 Sr. Mallory Kirtley. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-9 Sr. Mollie Kelly, 5-9 So. Lucy Clark, 6-4 Sr. Kara Hamilton, 5-6 Fr. Katie Kelly, and 5-8 Fr. Susie Owens.
Lafayette tied the game 59-59 on a field goal by Susie Owens with 2:03 remaining in the game. Owens fouled out with 1:56 on the clock and Woodford County hit their free throws down the stretch to gain a hard fought 67-61 victory. Woodford County was led tonight by Erika Rasmussen and Destiny Mattingly with 21 points each. Megan Foster and Mallory Kirtley added nine points each. Lafayette was led tonight by Susie Owens with 24 points. Owens was seven of 11 from the field and 10 of 11 from the charity stripe. Kara Hamilton added 16 points and Lucy Clark chipped in with 12 points.
