Abby had decided to go to the costume store with Fox, Owen, and Alex. This was going to be the first year that Alex picked his own costume and went trick or treating. Sice Abby was too big to get behind the wheel, Owen drove to the store. Fox was looking in the adult department for David and herself. Abby saw the first couch in the children's area and sat down. She was thankful that it was by the fitting room. Owen was taking Alex in and out every 5 minutes. "Alex, why don't you go look around. When you find 5 costumes come find me." "Okay." The three year old dashed into a pile of costumes. Owen let out a sigh. He loved Alex but sometimes he wished Fox would take care of him. Sitting next to Abby he said," So what do you think Mr. and Mrs. Xanatos are going as?" Abby made a claw with her hand and hissed,"Batman and Catwoman." Owen smiled.Abby placed a hand on his knee,"Well, Owen, if you help me up I'll go find out if I'm right." Owen obeyed. he couldn't help smiling watching Abby waddle to the adult department. Fox had just come out of the fitting room in a patenleather Catwoman outfit. "Meow Fox." Abby sat down,"You look great. I had a feeling you were going to dress that way." Fox played with the whip that came with the costume,"Oh really?" Abby blushed,"You really need to lower your voices while you.."play" Puck and I heard the battle between Batman and Catwoman last week." Fox blushed,"Oh...Sorry." "Don't be. Did you find Batman an outfit?" Fox picked up a black bag,"Yup. So, what are you four going as?" Abby shrugged,"Haven't thought about it much, I was leaving it up to Puck Speaking of Puck..I better go check on Owen." Fox helped Abby up,"Thanks Fox." "No problem. I know what it feels like to be grounded." Abby walked back into the children's area.Alex had on an Genie outfit. He was admiring it in the 3-way mirror,"..and Aunt Abby can do my makeup. Unca Owen do you like it?" "yes Alex, I do. Is this the one you want?" Owen's hair was a mess. His glasses were in his pocket and his tie was loose. Alex looked over to the doorway,"Hey! Zoe whatta doing here?" Abby and Owen looked to see Zoo in a Poison Ivy outfit. She had tight green leggings with red leather leotard, gloves, and knee-high boots. Sequence ivy leaves were laced over her breasts then trailed across the back.,"Do you think Brook will like it?" Abby walked over and closed Owen's mouth,"I think he's love it. I guess everyone is getting into a Batman mood." Alex hurt hurt,"Maybe I should too." Abby knew exactly what he was thinking,"Alex, you don't have to do everything your parents do. If you want to be the Genie, you go right ahead. Zoe put up her wrist,"Right on woman." Fox came out with her costumes over her shoulder,"Whoa,Zoe that's a nice costume." Zoe narrowed her eyes and smiled,"Welll, thank you darling,"She ran her hands over her stomach," It grows on people." The group laughed. Owen put his glasses back on,"Fox, would you mind taking the car back?" He threw the keys and Fox caught them,"Sure. Why?" Owen took Abby's arm,"I want to surprise everyone with our costume." Fox smiled,"OK,"she looked at Zoe,"Need a ride?" "Yes. Let's go get me out of this costume first. Don't you think Alex's costume is so cute." Fox looked at her Genie-son," Come here Genie." Alex ran to his mother's arms,"You really like it?" Fox pinched his nose playfully,"I sure do. Daddy's going to love it." The three disappeared into the adult department. Owen, first looking around, reverted to Puck in human form. "i've been thinking about our costumes." Abby rolled her eyes,"What does the trixster have in mind?" Puck just smiled,"You'll see." Abby let herself be lead to the back of the store. "You're kidding right?!" Abby squealed. Puck put the costume up to her shoulders. He cocked his head to one side and smiled."NO." Zoe was skipping down the hall to her room. She had feelings for Brook an d she knew Brook loved her. halloween was going to be the night she told him that she wanted to be more than just friends. She turned on the radio and sang with Meredith Brooks,"What would happen if we kissed/ Would you run away/Would you stay......." She fell on her bed, "I hope he stays." Abby and Puck walked into their apartment, Mr Xanatos made for them, and placed the bags on the bed. Puck kissed Abby on the cheek,"Thank you." She just looked at him,"I must really love you to do this. If our kids are scarred from this..." Puck sat in one of the chairs,"They'll think it's funny." David was watching Fox pull out their costumes while he sat at his desk. he pointed to the Batman costume,"You want me to get into that?!" Fox smiled,"Yes...it's anatomically correct." "Oh really. Well, then I guess I'll have to wear it now." he commented sarcastically,"So, what is everyone else wearing." Fox throw the costume to the side. She walked over and sat in his lap. Sh e spoke as she played with his beard,"Abby and Puck are keeping it a secr et. Alex is going as the Genie from Aladdin. Goliath and Hudson are going as themselves. No surprise. Lex is going as a robot. Brook is going as the spokes model for Harley Davidson. Zoe is going as Poison Ivy. This is cute. Broadway and Angela are dressing up as Frankenstein and his bride."David chuckled," What about Matt and Elisa? Or are they not coming?" Fox cleared her throat,"Elisa is going as a Diva. Matt is going as a ..Man in Black. Agent M I think he said." "That suits him. And my dear, what are you going as?" Fox traced her finger down DAvid's front,"I'm Catwoman." The gargoyles broke out of their stone shells. Brooklyn yawned and yelled ,"Tomorrow is Halloween!" The younger gargoyles hooted and yelled. Even though Halloween would be the best night to find gargoyles mingling among the people, the Quarrymen had never caught them. There were enough members of PIT that dressed up like gargoyles to throw the Quarrymen off the trail of the real gargoyles. Goliath and Hudson just smiled as the younger garg oyles were forming congo lines down the tower. As the gargoyles entered the kitchen they saw Zoe, Abby, and Alex taking boxes out of bags. Zoe shrugged,"Sorry guys, we were busy so you'll have to settle for MikiD's." Alex showed them a box,"It's ok. Unca Puck lets me eat it all the time." Abby put her hands on her hips,"He does, does he? well, we'ew going to have a talk with him later.." Lex smiled as he scooped Alex into his lap."Uh Oh..busted." Alex put a fry in Lex's mouth. Zoe folded her wings," I'l take Bronx for a walk." Hudson looked at her,"Why lass?" Zoe patted his shoulder," I want to do things that gargoyles do. Goliath says I'm not ready to patrol. So, what's the harm in walking the gargdog?" Brook smelled the food and winced,"I'll go with her Hudson. Maybe I'll find something good to eat." Goliath nodded," Be careful you two." Brooklyn and Zoe yelled in unison,"We will." Zoe took one os Bronx's front legs, Brook took the other. They jumped off not knowing that they were being watched by a camera on the building next to the castle. "Who is she?" Demona was furious,"Could she be another one of the clan's eggs." She examined the picture,"No, she resembles no one from my clan." "She looks like Zoe MacBeth." demona snapped a look at Diana. Demona had hired Diana to spy on Xanatos's corporation. It was unfortunate that she was assigned to his daughter Abby. "Who?" "She's someone new that has been living in the castle. i once heard her say that she was related to Professor MacBeth at Colombia." "Would you know her if you saw her again?" Diana nodded. Demona looked at the frozen picture on the screen. "Computer enhance square 9. Computer enlarge. Computer clarify to optical potential. The screen brought Zoe's face closer to the screen. The pixels blurred for a moment. When they clared Diana nodded,"That's her. Zoe Desdemona MacBeth. But how is she a gargoyle by night and human by day?" "That doesn't matter......take this." Demona gave Diana a long pencil. "This is really a needle. I want you to get a sample of her blood. Then we can find out how she does it." Diana nodded. She turned and left. Demona took the spell off her that made her look human in front of Diana at night. She looked at the picture,"Why do you have my hair and MacBeth's eyes? If that moron Anton has created another mutate out of my genes..I'll snap his neck." her eyes glew red as she snapped a pencil.She picked up the phone and dialed information, "Hello, can you give me the name of a great costume store." Zoe was humming "that" Meredith Brook's song as they glided into the park Brookyln raised an eyebrow ridge,"What song is that?" Zoe gave him a smile,"You don't know it. Do you still want some food?" Brook's stomach answered her. He blushed," Yeah.' "ok, take Bronx over there. I'll get us some grub." Zoe disappeared into the dark. Brook shook his head. For someone who had been a gargoyle for only a month, she acted like one of the guys. sometimes they all forgot that she was still human. Brook patted his thigh,"Come on, Bronx. Let's go walk." Zoe put her head up to see a vender being pushed by an elderly -looking m an. His white hair peeked through his Mets hat. He was missing one hand (from a WWII incident) but in it's place was a hook. His face was wrinkly but pleasant. Zoe cupped her hands over her mouth," Mac, can I have a dog?" The man stopped and smiled,"Zoey, is that you girl? Come here and give me a hug." "Do you promise not to scream. Something has happened to me. I'm deformed" The man threw up his hook in the air,"Can it be this bad?" Zoe slowly walked up to the man. His eyes were wide but there was a smile on his face."Zoe girl, you are beautiful." Zoe smiled as she hugged the old man,"Thanks Mac." "I was getting worried about you, kid. I heard about Trish and then you disappeared. Where have you been?" Zoe gave him the brief version of the past month's events. He scratched h is head with his hook. "well, I'm not surprised. The way you eat...it was inhuman." Zoe nudged him with her elbow,"So, can I get 2 dogs, 2sodas, and a pretzel." "See. Inhuman." He gave her the food. As Zoe went to pay him he put his hand on he pocket. "It's on the house. Just to know that you are alive and happy is all the payment I need. I told your father taht I would keep an eye out for you. Mac never goes back on his word to no one." He reached down and flipped his collar. Zoe saw along with his army pins there was a PIT pin. He folded it back,"You take care of yourself now, you hear. Don't be a stranger either." Zoe kissed her old friend," Thanks Mac." She disappeared into the dark. Mac put his hat to his heart. Something crumpled in his pocket. He return ed his hat to his head.In his pocket he found a ten dollar bill. he looked to see if Zoe was still there. She wasn't. He placed the money back into his pocket. he began to push the cart, "That girl is as sly as a fox. She musta got that from me." "Where did you get that?" Brooklyn pointed to the food in Zoe's hands. "A friend. Eat up." brooklyn saw the happy gleam in Zoe's eyes as they ate," Good friend?" Zoe nodded,"the best." Bronx was doing little dances in attempt for food."OK Bronx. Brook can he have this pretzel?" Brooklyn pulled a piece off and ate it,"Yup. It's all right." She tossed it. Bronx was chewing it like crazy. His whole backside was wa gging with joy. "So, what now?" Zoe pulled her legs in front of her. She reached up and pulled a leaf from the tree above her. Brook took a deep breath. "I guess go back to the castle. I have some last minute touch-ups on my costume." Zoe walked over and sat in front of Brook."You are going to love my costume." brook leaned against a tree,"Oh really?" Zoe throw herself ontop of Brook. He was pinned to the tree. She traced a finger down his beak,"Really. Let's go." She walked over to Bronx. Brooklyn followed wiping a bit of cold sweat from his forehead. "This is not funny!" Angela was staring at her reflection in the mirror. her hair was standing straight up. Fox and Abby were helping Angela see what the bride of Frankenstein's hair looked like. It would have looked right if the top didn't keep flopping over Angela's eyes. Foxand Abby were laughing to the point of tears. Owen and David opened the door to see the sight."What is going on here?" Said David. Abby waved her hands in the air, gasping for air between laughs. Just when it seemed she was getting ahold on herself she turned around and began to laugh again. " Too much. ....too much" Abby walked to the two men. She pointed at Angela and began to laugh. The two men split to let Abby into the hallway. They could hear her laughing all the way down. Fox was crying but was under control. She moved and the men saw Angela and her "hair" David tried to be polite but he began to laugh.Owen let a smile through but soon returned to his cold state. he approach ed Angela. She pleaded,"Please fix it Fox. It's not going to work." Angela saw Owen walk behin her. She felt his hand on her neck. A puckish grin crossed his lips as the hair stood straight up. "Was that the desired look?" Angela smiled,"Could you do that tomorrow night?" Owen nodded. Angela hair fell down as though the bottles of hairspray were never there. "Thanks Owen." Owen walked out of the room. "Happy to oblige." Abby was in the library with her feet up on a coffee table. These mood swings were getting worse. The doctor said she would have them the closer her due date got, but Whoa this one was bad.She had a tissue and blew her nose. Broadway looked up from his book,"Are you sure you are ok?" Abby nodded. No need for Angela to get mad at her. "Just a mood swing. Do gargoyles have them?" Broadway put his book down. "Yeah, but females have them during the last year of the pregnacy.Most of the time they are not pleasant. I can remember one female had to be contained until she laid her egg. She was just to violent. She almost killed Demona." "Will that happen to Angela?" Broadway shrugged," We won't know until her last year. It is usually pasted down from mother to daughter. As far as I know, from Goliath, Demona was not violent at all. he said she was happy. Which is hard to imagine." Abby put his hand in hers," She'll be fine." Broadway looked into Abby's eyes,"I hope so." Oct 31 HALLOWEEN Zoe decided to file some reports in Abby's office. Even though she was on ly an intern didn't mean that she didn't know how to do things. She saw Diana walked down the hall with a lot of books. Zoe went to help, but she must have scared her for t he books went lying and she accidentally poked Zoe with a very large and sharp pencil. "OUCH!" "Oh I'm so sorry, Zoe. I didn't mean to hurt you." Zoe rubbed her hand which was starting to bleed,"No, Diana. I shouldn't have scared you like that." Zoe helped pick up the books. Diana ran down the hall. Zoe shook her head," Crazy chick." She walked in to see Owen at the desk,"hey Owen." Owen saw the blood and stood up alarmed,"Are you all right?" "Yeah, Diana accidentally bumped into me and stuck me with a pencil. Must have been a sharp bugger." Owen looked at the wound," It looks more like a pin or needle. Are you sure it was a pencil?' Zoe was getting mad,"Of course. Why would anyone want to stick me?" Owen straightened his glasses as her went for the first aid kit,"I don't know." A smile graced his lips. Diana ran into Ms. Destines office waving the pencil, "I got it." Demona stood,"Very good. Give it here and return to the office. I don't want them to get suspicious." Diana nodded. After She shut the door, Demona placed the pencil in a cont ainer at the bottom of the scene,"computer analize."The computer made some sounds and spoke,"Blood is type AB negative. Strands identify with gargoyle known as Demona. Human genes are consistent with that of Lennox McDuff. Unknown strand found." Demona snarled,"So, she is a mix. Computer bring up unknown strand." As the computer obeyed, Demona knew that the strand was magic. Avalon magic. Demona looked at the screen,"WEll, it looks like I'll be crashing a party tonight." "May be I should let MacBeth in on this little vixen. Yes, that should make the party twice as fun." Demona dialed the number and let it ring. "Hello, Lennox McDuff speaking." "MacBeth it's Demona" "Demona! What the hell do you want?" "A truce for tonight. I have just been informed that their is a 20 year old girl living in the castle.." "Get on with it Demona." "Well, it seems like this girl has my hair and your eyes. And oh yeah, she turns into a gargoyle at night." There was silence on the other end of the phone. "Is she our's?" "Yes, but someone else created her out of magic. I was going to crash Xanatos's halloween bash and was wondering if you wanted to come? You know meet our daughter." "What time do you want to meet?" "8o'clock at Cleopatra's needle." She hung up the phone. She sat back in her chair puting her hands to her mouth. But they weren't big enough to hide the big smile behind them."Maybe I'll have better luck with this child than I did with Angela?" Halloween night...... Zoe came out into the Great Hall. she let her mouth drop open. The had been decorated with enough streamers, paper witches, and other Halloween characters to decorate all of 5th Ave. They even had mult-color leaves placed on the tablea and floor. Zoe began to feel the pain of her transformation begin. Thanks to Puck, in a flash the pain was gone and she was a gargoyle. Her wings folded over her costume to make it appear to be a black cap. She pulled out a stocking she had made with ivy leaves all over it. Slipping her tail in, she wrapped it around her left leg. Anyone who saw it would think that it was part of the costume. David, Fox, and Alex (or should I saw Batman, Catwoman, and the Genie) came into the hall. "Whoa, Zoe." David said. Zoe smiled,"Why Batman...." The gargoyles entered with similar reactions.Lex had found old computer parts and strapped them to his body. He wore a silver helmet that controled all the lights and sounds for effect. Broadway was in full Frankenstein attaire. From the head bolts to the clumpy shoes. Angela had on a long ripped white gown. Her hair was up with a white streak. Her makeup made her face white and she drew stiches on her wrists and neck. Brooklyn made his way to Zoe. He was leather pants, combat shoes(made for gargoyle feet), a Harley Davidson t-shirt, leather jacket, dark glasses, and a motorcycle helmet. "You look great." Zoe looked at herself,"You likes?" "I likes a lot." Zoe could have sworn that Brook's eyes were glowing as he said it. The sound of an elevator turned everyone's head. Matt stepped into the hall. He pulled out one of the MIB prop guns and said,"Agent M of the MIB." He had on the whole "Men in Black" attaire. Right down to the Ray Bans. Everyone giggled but all giggles stopped as the saw Elisa. She was wearin g a black strapless form-fitting dress. That had a slit that went from her ankle to mid-thigh. Her long black gloves made her costume more sensual. She had her hair down over one eye. Matt cleared his voice,"Diva, made I escort you to your date?" Elisa ran her fingers over his lips,"Yes you may." Just as they were taking each others arm they burst out laughing. Elisa walked up to Goliath,"Hey, big guy." "Elisa you look..." Before he could finish Elisa took his arm and lead him into the Hall."I know, i look divine." Goliath lowered his head so only Elisa could hear him,"I was going to say that you look good enough to eat." He growled palyfully. Elisa looked at him,"Later, do you how long it took me to get into this thing." They laughed and continued their conversation. Zoe looked around,"Where's Owen or Puck and Abby?" Puck came out of the shadows,"I am here." Puck was wearing a pointy green hat with matching tights and curled-toe shoes.He had on a long red coat that was held closed by a big black belt at his waist. "What are you Puck?" "An elf." Hudson snorted,"There's a streach." "Where's Abby?" Zoe asked. Puck pointed towards their room,"She's still getting ready." Zoe took Brook's hand,"Let's go see if we can help her." As they went they could hear the other guests arriving. PIT members, the Maza family (including the mutates), some of David's business associates, and others. No one noticed the Scottish knig and Gargoyle Queen slip into the party. Zoe knocked on the door,"Abby?" "Come in!" Zoe almost collapsed,"SANTA!," she jumped over to Abby,"Can I sit on your lap!" Abby was in a full Santa Claus outfit. She had just finished the beard when Zoe came in,"Don't even try it." Brook was snikering but managed to say,"Come on..let's show the others." Brrok and Zoe helped Abby out of her chair,"Thanks guys. Man, I'm I going to be happy to be able to move again." Everyone laughed as Abby came into the Great Hall. She put her hands on her stomach and as happy as she could yelled,"HO HO HO!" Fox turned to Puck,"That's cruel. You know once that stomach is gone she's going to try to kick the shit out of you." Puck looked up at Fox,"Maybe I want her to try." Fox rolled her eyes,"You are a horny little elf aren't you?" Puck bowed,"Thank you." Fox laughed as she saw Puck skip to Abby's side. "How is my Santa?" Abby grabbed Puck's collar. "I'm hot." She released him. He straightened his jacket,"You hate me for doing this don't you?" She looked at him,"Hate, no.Dislike,yes. my hormones are bouncing off the wall. My mood swings are crazy. I think after an hour you will really know how BAD my mood swings get." Puck looked scared," You know waht..if we have anymore kids, I think we should wait until these two are older. If not, you may kill them." Abby's eyes relaxed. She patted his arm as she headed towards food,"Good idea." The party was great. Abby and Puck lead everyone to the song "Monster Mash." Alex became the laugh of the party trying to dance to the songs. When the traditional Halloween songs were over, the DJ's bagan playing the Jock Jams CDS. Zoe got Brrok to dance with her. She tried to dance as close to him as possible to give him the hint. He didn't get it. So, she pushed him outside MacBeth signaled to Demona and they both followed the couple. "Is there something wrong with me?!" Brook looked confused,"What?" "I have been throwing myself at you. But you don't seem interested. What are you: the first gay gargoyle." Brooklyn sat on a bench,"NO!" he pointed to Angela and Broadway dancing," I was in love with her when Goliath first brought her to NY. I tried everything to get her to notice me.She choose Braodway,"Zoe sat next to him, "I'm happy for them but...I wish it was me." "So you never want to love again?" Zoe hung her head. Brrok leaned his head on her shoulders,"No, it's just I don't want to fall for someone that 'just wants to be friends.' I do..love you. But you could have any guy you wanted. Did you see the was those guys looked at you. Why would you want me." Zoe raised her head so that her cheek and lips carressed Brooklyn's beak, "I've loved you since the day we met because you stayed with me." Brook shot his head back,"You do?" Zoe grabbed him and kissed him hard. They fell off the bench with Zoe on top. She pulled up for air,"And I DON"T want to be friends." She helped Brook up. He grabbed her and held her with their wings threade d together. Brook looked up and growled. Pushing Zoe behind him he yelled ,"Demona, MacBeth what are you doing herre?!" Knowing those names Zoe moved into their view. Demona smiled,"We're her to take our daughter." She pulled out a gun and shot it at Zoe. She collasped as the sleeping potion did it's work. Brook caught her before she hit the floor. His eyes went white-hot,"No!" He charged them. MacBeth took out another g un and shot an electric fense over Brook. "ZOE!" He watched, yelling for the others,"as Demona picked up Zoe and got into NMacBeth's palce, which had been hovering over the castle. They were long gone when Lex finally found Brook. He pulled a piece of metal off his costume. By putting the metal into the laser stream it turned the fence off. Brooklyn grabbed Lex,"Demona and MacBeth have Zoe!" Lex's eyes went bigger than his head,"I'll get Goliath." The whole gang was outside as Brooklyn took them what happened. Goliath put his fist in his hand,"How did those two find out about her so quickly? " Puck came forward,"That's not important, Goliath.Zoe is in grave danger. Demona has been POed about Angela not speaking to her,"he turned to Angela, "for very good reasons I might add,"He turned back to the group, "But MacBeth just wants to get to know her. Demona will kill her if she fights." He smiled,"And knowing Zoe-she will fight.' Brooklyn and the other gargoyles were already out of their costumes. Brook yelled, "Let's go." Lex grabbed his tail,"Wait! We don't even know where they are?" Abby spoke,"I can find out." They looked at the little Santa momma. Abby walked into the hallway where there was a huge mirror. She traced a circle on its surface and MacBeth's castle appeared."She's there." Goliath nodded,"Angela, you and Bronx stay here. Brooklyn, Lexington, Broadway, and Hudson you are with me." Elisa came into their conversation,"What's going on?" Puck walked over to her,"I'll tell you later." Goliath yelled to Elisa as he left the room,"Elisa, watch Angela. If we succeed Demona may come after her." Elisa just looked at a smiling Puck before her,"Ok, elf. What's going on?" Zoe opened her eyes to see herself double chained to a chair. She stuggled but nothing would budge. She thought back to a magician stripper who she roomed with once. She taught her how to get out of stuff like this, if only she could remember. She let out a growl, letting her eyes burn red. She looked up to see Demona and MacBeth. MacBeth had his arms crossed,"She has your temper." Demona rubbing a black and blue spot on her arm, which Zoe had given her in the plane, said,"I know." "Why the hell have you brought me here?" Demona got right in Zoe's face,"We want to know how you came to be. macbe th and i had a fling, but that was centuries ago. I think I would have re membered laying two eggs." Zoe swallowd,"Is that all?" MacBeth nodded at her. Zoe could tell that her father didn't want to hurt her but "mommy dearest" was another story." Zoe told them. They had a right to know too, right? Afterwards, Demona just looked at her,"That's why you have an magically presence about you. Damn those weird sisters." As Demona was yelling about their own curse Zoe snapped one of the chains She quickly looked up to see if they noticed. They didn't. Zoe menatlly thanked her magician friend. Now she just needed a perfect t ime to make her escape. She saw the opened down to her left. Demona yelled, "MacBeth, you are a fool!" This was a good time. She throw the chains on her "parents" and ran out the door. Macbeth yelled,"I thought you said these would hold her?!" Demona ignored him as she ran after Zoe on all fours. Zoe learned quickly that running on all fours was faster. She ducked into an open door and locked it behind her. A staggered breath left her mouth. MacBeth was getting up when the gargoyles crahed throught the window. Brook picked up Macbeth,"Where is Zoe?" MacBeth in a wooried voice said,"We have to hurry. Demona is going to kill her. Follow me." Zoe was to busy listening outside for footsteps. She didn't notice the secret panel opening behind her. Demona snaked in. Zoe turned and screamed. Demona was ready to pounce when the sound of a laser stopped her. MacBeth was pointing the gun right at the back of Demona's head. Golaith and the others ran into the room throught the passageway. Goliath held up an arm to his clan,"ManBeth/' MacBeth was at the point of tears,"Demona, over 1000 yeras ago, you made me leave my famile. that act cause my only child, my son, to die in battle. I'll kill us before I let you do it again. Look at her,"he hit her with the gun, "Lokk at her! She looks a lot like you. Just because she was created by magic doesn't mean she doesn't live. Why do you hate her so much." Demona turned to MacBeth,"I didn't have her. I was denied the right to watch Angela hatch and grow. Then I find out that I had another daughter, who I missed growing up. Angela hates me, now Zoe does too." Broadway made his way to Demona,"She doesn't hate you. We all know you can't be trusted, but Angela still thinks there is good in you. She hopes you can change before the birth of our child." Demona's eyes brightened,"She's expecting." Broadway nodded. Demona laughed, "I always knew your heart was bigger than your stomach.. But I have been this way for a long time. I can't change. I have learned that humans come in handy from time to time but I still believe they should all be wiped out." Zoe walked up to her mother,"Yeah well opinions are like asshole, mom, everyone's got one. i don't hate you either. If I hate you then I hate myself, because we are blood." She hugged Demona. There was a bright light and Puck(in his Avalon attaire) stood smiling at them all,"Ahhhhh, one big happy family." Demona snarled,"That that little imp again" Puck waved a finger at Demona,"Be nice. Or I may take away that present I gave you." Demona shut-up. Puck nodded,"Well, are you all coming back to the party or what? The two mothers-to-be are worrying themsleves sick and so are the humans." Puck leaned against Zoe,"So, Zoe did you ahve a nice reunion." Zoe gave the Fay a dirty look,"NO!" MacBeth walked over to her,"Zoe, I would be honored to call you my daughter. If you need anything, I will be here. Ahhh,without the guns and chains." Zoe giggled, "Thanks..dad." He hugged her. Demona, seeing her chance, broke through the window. She jumped back ontop of it," I leave my children to their own lives. i can't change long enough to love them. Broadway, tell Angela I love her and that I hope I'm welcome to see my grandchild. Zoe, I'm sorry for all of this.But I love you too" Demona jumped and disappeared into the night. Brooklyn ran and swung Zoe in his arms,"I missed you. " Zoe just hugged him. Puck put his hand on MacBeth's shoulder,"would you like to join the party?" Macbeth nodded,"Wait.What about my windows?" Puck waved his hand and they were fixed,"Complaints. Complaints. Let's go people. The twins are starting to drive Abby crazy. If I don't get there soon I would have them around much longer." Broadway laughed,"i thought gargoyle mood swings were bad." Puck gathered energy in his hands. It grew like a balloon until it engulfed them all. After the light disappeared the gang found themselves back at the Eyrie building. everyone was in good cheer. Brook, Zoe, adn MacBeth went off to talk. Angela met Broadway at the door and they went dancing. Goliath joined Elisa. Hudson headed for the food. Lex caught the flirting eye of a young lady and followed her. Puck turned to admire the Huson river. A long deep breath escaped his lips. behind him he heard waddling footsteps. Without turning around he asked,"How are you feeling?" Abby had taken off most of her costume. She had on a white shirt, red pants (held up by suspenders), and black boots. "Better. You did this didn't you?" She waved her hand at the partygoers. Puck turned, folding his arms, to look at his mate. His wife. The mother of his children. He felt that he couldn't love her more than anything in the universe. He held out a hand to her. She took it,"Did you?" He rolled his eyes,"Maybe?" He twirled her around so they faced the party He slid his arms behind her to rest his arms on her stomach. "Look how happy they are, Abby. How could I not do it." Abby smiled,"I knew this was your work. Luna says she's proud of you and Rob sayd you have to teach him that one." Puck patted her stomach,"All in good time, my boy. All in good time." Abby threaded her hend in Puck's."Let's go join the party." Puck bowed and put his arm out,"After you Santa." Abby gave him a hard yet happy smile,'oh no, after you elf-boy." They laughed at each other and joined the Halloween party for another round of "Monster Mash." High above the Great hall sat a Gargoyle Queen. She watched her daughters smiling and fussing over the ones they loved. A single tear of joy rolled down Demona's face. That's it.
