When Wishes Come True Story # 2

This is Part 2 of "The forgotten child" so if you haven't read it, turn back. There will
 too many blanks. Sorry


Puck awoke in a bed of clouds. He shot up and saw Titania waiting for him
with Alex in her arms.
"I have been watching you Puck. I am gald that you finally found someone 
to love. I just hope 
that you will be able to return to her after the test."
Puck stood up,"What do you mean, my queen?"
She looked away,"If you fail; Alex will be kept here and you will be destroyed." 
Alex was looking at Puck. He could see the pain. Puck went over to Titania and Alex flung 
himself into Puck's arms.
"Don't worry Alex, we won't fail. I thought I was forbidden to see Avalon
 again?"
"Well you really can't..we are too high up." Puck went to the edge of the
 cloud floor and looked over. He could see they were somewhere between 
Earth's moon and Mars.
"I do not care about the odds. Alex and I will win. I am his gaurdian and his friend. I will not 
let you take him without a fight. You are right Titania; the only way you are going to take him 
is if I'm destroyed."
"Puck, what will you fight with. You can not use your powers."
Puck's eyes narrowed,"Alex is my power. Between his skill and our combined 
abilities we will fight for love and life."
Titania grinned and evaporated. In her place stood Lord Oberon himself.
"Very good, Puck. You have past the first test. Loyalty. You have three to go: Strength, Magic, 
and Love. Good luck. For if you win, you will return to your mortals -with- your powers fully 
restored."
Everything vanished and Puck found himself, Alex in hand, in a dungeon.
"Alex, this is the Strength and Magic test. You use your magic and the strength part is 
whether we survive it. The creature will try to hurt me and it is up to you to save me." 
Puck could see Alex's lower lip begin to quiver."Alex, I'll be right here if you forget 
a spell. come on don't you want to see Puck have babies?"
Alex began to giggle at the thought of Puck and Abby having kids.
Then there was a loud bellowing voice that sounded the game.
A gate opened and Puck could see it was a huge feathered serpent. "Alex, 
those feathers are razor-sharp. Watch out!"
Alex shot a ball of energy at the creature. It winced but was angered by 
the shot. Titania looked at her Lord,"My, lord, you said that Alex may stay with his
parents as long as Puck taught him to do magic."
"Yes, I did say that. What is your point my queen."
Titania pointed towards the two,"If Alex fails it is your fault."
Oberon shot up,"What do you mean?"
Titania, calm as a ever, sat down,"It must be hard to teach a child when 
you know that one day that child will grow to be a man. My lord, would 
you rush to teach your student anything you knew? Then to never be able 
to use your magic again? No, Puck has been taking so long to teach Alex
because he doesn't want to lose his magic yet. 
What if my daughter chooses to have other children? Who will teach them? 
Do you really want to go through the samething we went through with Alex?"
Oberon had calmed down and listened to every word Titania said,"I know I 
was rash..but Puck needed to be punished."
"True enough, but what say Avalon on this matter?" Oberon just shuddered 
at the mention of Avalon. For Avalon is a "Being." You could say he is a 
tangible God. He was the one who gave the children their powers, so it was 
pissed when Oberon took Puck's powers away.
"You know, my queen, how Avalon feels about this matter."
Titania grinned and stood,"I do know and I agree." She left leaving ice on 
the queen's throne. 
Which is a sign of hatred. Oberon threw up his hands,"This may cause anot
her divorce."
Puck was fine dodging the serpent's tail. but Alex was getting tired. Puck told Alex a 
reengergizing spell and ALex was ok. Puck quickly looked at the huge crystal clock that stood 
above Oberon,"Shit, in an a hour Abby will be waking up. Which means so will your parents." 
Alex gave Puck a wide-eyed look,"Uh-oh."
Titania walked into the great hall of the castle. She dismissed the two gargoyle guards posted 
by her mirror. She waited until they were out of sight to cast a spell on the mirror. No good. 
Oberon had his own spell on it so that she couldn't leave.
"Come and go as I please, bullshit." Titania crossed her arms and headed 
towards the spot where The Magnus's body rested.

Abby opened her eyes to the bright sun covering her in a balnket. She laughed,"Father Sun, 
if you keep spoiling like this I'll never get out of bed. But thank you."
The sun rays moved up onto the wall.
She looked around her room. No Puck or Alex. She sprang out of bed and peeked into 
Owen's room. Not there either. Abby was starting to become upset. She ran down the
hall to the nursery. They weren't there. Abby opened a panel in the nursery,
"Computer locate Owen." The computer made some noise then in a robot voice said,
" Owen not found."
"Computer: Find Puck." Again the robot voice said,"Puck not found." Abby 
swallowed hard trying to keep her vioce clear,"Computer: Find Alex."
"Alex not found." Abby collaspsed on the floor crying. Something had happened. 
She ran to wake up Fox and her father.

Titania entered the cave where The Magus's coffin laid upon the slab where
 the king slept for centuries. She placed her hands on the wall,"Avalon her your 
child and queen, grant me enough magic to end 
this silly farst. To reunite my grandchild with his parents, restore Puck's powers and return 
him to his love." As the wall began to shine and consumer Titania she laughed,"Yes, Puck is in 
love."
To the human eyes, the sound in the cave would have sounded like a million people whispering at 
once. To Titania, it was one strong clear voice,"You must teach Oberon a 
lesson for unrightfully taking Puck's powers away from him. They were my 
gift to the Puck and no one, not even Oberon, has the right to take them.
Go help anyway you can, I have given you enough power to be equal that of
Oberon. Save you grandchildren, blood and not, from this treachary."
"I will my parent..in all in your grace. I will not fail you." Titania bowed and headed back 
to her mirror.

"Abby slow down...where is Alex?" 

"Puck was summoned to Avalon to test Alex. He said if they passed there was a chance 
he would get his powers back. Oh shit, it's my fault." Fox held her,"No, it's Oberon's. 
He has always been an asshole. Cinderella had the wicked stepmother, I have the wicked 
stepfather."
Abby pushed Fox away alittle," No, I wished that Oberon would give Puck his powers back. 
Alex read my mind. Who knows, Oberon could have been listening."
Xanatos was rubbing his daughter's back," Don't worry we'll get them back; somehow."
At that moment, Titania's form appeared in the full length mirror by Fox's dresser. "Fox dear, 
would you help your mother?"
Fox stood infront of the mirror,"What do I do?"
"Put your hand to mine." Fox put her hand up to her mother's reflection. 
Titania's fingers come out and grabbed onto Fox's hand,"Now, pull." As Fox pulled 
the mirror ripped and Titania's image emerged. Abby was dumbstruck.
Titania came over to Abby and knelt beside her,"So," she said wiping Abby's tears,
"you're the one who stole Puck's heart. I can see why he loves you so much. 
Even your magic is impressive."
David grew angry,"What?!"
Abby looked at her father," Dad, Puck and I thought it would be better if we didn't tell you. 
Don't worry we haven't done anything yet."
David throw up his arms,"YET! And what do you mean magic"
Titania cleared her throat,"Excuse me, David, but your daughter is a witch. Witches are humans 
with spirits so powerful they can control the 4 elements of earth: air, land, water, and fire.
Fox looked at her mother,"Where is Alex?"her face went cold,
"That is why I'm here. Oberon has taken Alex and Puck into the Tests of 
Avalon. If they pass, Alex is returned and Puck's powers are restored. Abby smile 
was killed by Titania's next statement."If they fail, Alex stays on Avalon and Puck is 
destroyed. The tests have been going on for 45 minutes."
"wait, Puck said it was going to be two weeks in one night."
Titania gave her a sad smile," He didn't want to worry you. The test is two weeks, usually, 
earth time. On Avalon is is about 14 hours."
Abby stood up,"We have to go to Avalon."
Titania looked at Abby's eyes,"I can take you and Fox, since you have magic in your blood. 
David get Puck's room ready. For if he is still alive he wouldn't be for 
long." David nodded. 
Titania looked at Abby's hair."How would you feel about cutting your hair?"
"What..." Abby responded.
"For witches to enter Avalon they must give it a gift. Your hair is magically charged. Avalon's 
birds would would happy to have it."
Abby didn't answer she went to the mirror and took the scissors off the dresser. When she was 
done her once long hair, that went down her back, was alittle over shoulder length. She turned to
 Titania,"Is that enough?"
Titania nodded and magically braided the hair. "Give it to the weird sisteers and they will let 
you enter Avalon." Titania took Fox's hand and jumped into the mirror. Abby hesitated. DAvid 
hugged her,"Be careful."
Abby smiled a wicked grin,"I'll try." she jumped into the mirror.

When she jumped into the mirror she felt that she had been placed in the 
movie "Stargate." 
Everything stopped. Abby was infront of three identical women, save their
 hair color. All three had their hands out in a stop postion.
The black-haired woman spoke,"You may not enter Avalon. We the weird sisters 
will not allow it." 
Abby took the hair and throw it at the trio. Almost immediately the ride 
started up again, dropping her in a great hall. Fox was giggling at Abby's hair. Without the 
weight from the long hair it was now a pom-pom. Abby grabbed a rubberband and tied it 
back,"Can we go please?"
Outside the castle there was a huge stadium floating above the lawn. They
heard people shouting, cheering, booing, you name it. Fox looked around,
"How do we get up there?" Titania pointed to some clouds that moved to form 
stairs,"That's how. Since part of Puck's punishment is that he may never 
sample Avalon's land. Oberon held the test above it."
They sprinted up the stairs to find a horrible sight at the top. A winged
serpent was attacking Puck and Alex. Puck was on one side while Alex was behind it 
shooting energy balls at it. Puck looked awful. 

To get the beast away from Alex, Puck had to take a few blows from the razor-sharp feathers. 
There were gashes on his face, legs, arms, and one in his side that seemed to be bleeding a lot.
Oberon looked very pleased on his throne.
Abby screamed,"PUCK! WATCH OUT!" Puck recognizied the voice and became very angry.
 Oberon would not have brought her here for another punishment, would he? 
The serpent turned to Alex. Puck, not seeing the tail in whick Abby had yelled about, 
was struck against the wall. He could see 
Alex scared and worried looks. Puck mustered all the strength he had left and talked 
to Alex in his mind," Turn the SOB into a kitten.Think of the image. Let it run to your fingers.
When the energy is so strong you can't hold it let go. Shoot him." Puck closed his eyes and 
passed out. Alex had already started collecting the energy. It became bigger then him
He let it consume the serpent. He ran to Puck. Abby ran down the aisle and jumped over the 
wall next to Puck. 

Alex was trying to heal Puck's wounds but was so tired he passed out.
She touched Puck's throat. There was still a pulse. She saw an image materialize behind her. 
Jumping into a fighting stance, she saw it was Lord Oberon. He proclaimed
" They have passed the tests of Magic and Strength" He picked up the kitten and sent it to 
one of the guards."Now, they must pass the final test."
There was a loud boom. Everyone looked to see a moonbeam (see the end of 
"Forgotten Child') streak across the sky and land on Puck and Alex. Alex got up but Puck didn't. 
Abby could see that all his wounds were being healed. She stepped into the light and heard 
a voice that sounded like bells.
"We are sorry we did not come sooner daughter. We have healed your love's wounds 
but only rest and your love will wake him. We also have restored the little one's energy.
Oberon was blistering mad,"You dares interupts my game?" 
"We, the moonmother and one of her children. Abby will take Puck's place in the next test."
"why?"
Abby picked up Alex,"Because we love him. If we have to die to prove it, so be it."
Titania floated down with her daughter. Fox ran and held Alex. Titania moved in front of her 
Family,"You have lost, my lord."
"Do you betray me now, my queen?" Titania answered,"Oberon, my lord and husband, 
Avalon has given me enough magic to be at the same level as you. The last test is Love.
 You know that all  to well. Alex has surpassed the abilities of magic and they all love Puck
Send them home."
Oberon got closer to Puck and Abby stepped between them. Oberon lifted his hands,
"Do not fret, child. I will send you home." He placed his hands on Puck. A green glow formed
 around Puck,"Take back your full powers. With the knowledge that I will never bother you 
again. But for your betrayal you are still banished from Avalon.
A blue light circled Puck and moonmother added,"You are now my son..since 
my daughter loves enough to die for you." The light was gone and that stood in front of 
everyone was Oberon carrying a sleeping Puck.
Titania waved her hand, the room went blurry. When it cleared they were in Puck's room. 
Oberon laid him on the bed. Oberon turned to Abby,"I don't know how long he will
sleep. Between fighting and the shock of having his powers restored, I'm sorry." He vanished.
Titania turned and kissed Alex,"I'll see you at Christmas..now Oberon must be punished."
"What will happen to him, mom?"
Titania said,"He will be dealt will by Avalon. It will hurt but afterwards he will know the 
right way. Until then, I am ruler of Avalon. So, I must go." She kissed Fox,
"Remember Christmas."
Fox thought it would be better to leave Abby alone with Puck. So, she went to 
find David. By Abby's watch, they had been gone for three days. Abby followed. 
She couldn't bear to look at Puck.

The sunsetted and the gargoyles woke up to a very unhappy Xanatos family.
 Goliath was first to speak,"What has happened?" Abby began to cry. Angela ran to her 
side and took her out of the room.
Mr. XAnatos motioned for the gargoyles to sit and eat breakfast. Lex asked looking around,
"Where's Owen and when did you guys get back?" Fox looked at him wth tears in her eyes,
"That is what happend?"

AFTER THE WHOLE STORY WAS TOLD.......

Brooklyn put his hand through his white hair, stopping at the back of his
 neck,"Man, I didn't think Owen or Puck had it in him to fall in love."
HUdson nodded,"Love is blind, so the saying goes, lad."
Lex," But the whole thing about Abby and Puck gives me the creeps. How many 
more magically beings are there going to be?"
Broadway crossed his arms," Me too, but I do feel sorry for them. Do you know 
when or if he'll wake up?"
Fox picked up Alex,"No...we don't."
Everyone looked up to see Angela, crying, walk into the room. Broadway was by 
her side in a flash."Angela are you ok?"
She shook her head,"Abby and I were reading one of her magic books. It said that sometimes 
these "comas" last 'sniff' hundreds of years."
Goliath asked,"Where's Abby?" Angela pointed in the direction of her room
Hudson put his hand on Goliath's shoulder,"There is nothing we can do now
is pray the spirits are will them."

Fox opened Abby's door to peek in, Abby was asleep in her bed. She closed
 the door softly and went into Puck's room. He was still sleeping in the same position that 
Oberon had left him in. 

She walked over took his boots off and put the covers over him.
"Please wake up, Puck. Alex needs you, Abby needs you, DAvid needs you, and I need you. 
Without you, Alex will be behind in his lessons, DAvid's office will be a wreck, 
my excercises wouldn't be as funny." She smiled,"And who's going to help 
Abby make Puck babies?"

Puck's face seemed to be trying to smile but the effort was lost in his magically coma. A tear 
rolled down her cheek and she left.

Goliath was the next visitor to see Puck. "Puck, I know you can hear me. 
I know we haven't had the best of experiences together, 
but you were there when it was necessary. I just wanted you to know that 
the clan and I will take care of Abby while you slumber. No harm will ever come to her. 
I give you my word. Goliath stood and left.

Puck had heard every word spoken to him but he was trapped in a cage. He 
began to say Fox's speech over and over to himself. The cage did weaken but not enough 
for him to try to escape from it. "I will get out!"

Abby woke up and looked at her clock;2AM. She turned onto her back. She felt so cold 
and empty. She sat up and throw her legs over the side. She put socks on and walked 
to the mirror. Her Shakespearen festival T-shirt and plaid boxer were wrinkled more than a 
hundred year old man. 

She especially looked at her hair. .After the initial shock of cutting her hair, it had become 
a gentle wave.Abby went to Puck's room. She leaned against the door feeling sleep 
beginning to consume her. She opened the door and looked at Puck. She knelt down and
 kissed his forehead. Abby could see his breath quicken and eyes struggle to open. 
Abby went over to the other side of the bed and crawled under the sheets
She put her head against his shoulder and wrapped her arm around his chest. "Goodnight Puck."
The touch of Abby against his skin was enough to break the cage for a moment. As Puck
 flew away he saw the cage repairing itself. It was going to be looking for him in a couple 
of minutes. 
He saw signs materializing before him. They all lead to Abby. He followed
 them up to a door. 
On the door read,"GO TO HER. I"M SORRY. DADDY O."
Puck's eyes opened in his room with Abby's warm body against him. He could 
feel the cage crumble to dust. He turned himself so that Abby and him were face to face.
He noticed that her hair seemed to be shorter. He didn't want to wake her, so he 
closed his eyes.

Abby was awaken to the shower running, then a hair dryer, then a drawer slam. 
She lifted her head up and there sat a very angry Puck in sweatpants,
"Why did you cut your hair?"
She fell back into her pillow,"To save your sorry ass."
Puck's eyebrows went up,"Oh really." he moved behind her wrapping his arms
 around her waist. 

Resting his cheek against her back,"Then, thank you."
Abby turned around and looked at Puck. She moved his damp hair away from 
his face. "How do you feel?"
Puck shrugged,"OK, but I can't turn into Owen. I tried to shapeshift and 
couldn't do it. My body must still be in shock."
"What?! Can you do any magic?"
"Oh yeah, I can change my featues to look more human. Now you can take me
 out and show me off to everyone."
"Oh, hahah, why did you take a shower? I thought magic kept you clean?"
"It's an Owen habit. It feels good in the morning."
"I'm glad you are awake. I thought for were going to sleep for hundreds of years."
"And leave you. Ha" Puck snorted. "I do like you hair."
"Thank you."
"Maybe I should try it?"
"Go for it."
Puck closed his eyes and his hair shrunk to look like Owen's haircut. Then he shrunk his ears 
to human size. "Good?"
Abby smiled,"Very good." Abby got out of bed and streached. Puck got out 
but held onto the bed post for support. Abby rushed to him,"Are you ok?"
"Yes, just alittle weak. Don't worry." Letting his hair and ears return to normal, Puck slid 
down the bed to sit on the floor.There was a knock at their door,"Come in." Abby said. 
Alex looked in and ran laughing to Puck, 

"Puck o'tay now."
"Puck is still 'urting but o'tay." Puck said imitating Alex. Alex wrinkled his nose 
in amusement. Abby was in the bathroom washing her face. She was wiping it dry when 
Alex asked,"So, when are there going to be lil Puck babies?"
"What just came out that child's mouth!" Abby yelled.
"Alex, no." Puck tried to grab Alex but he was already out of reach. The 
best thing to do, Puck thought, was to cover his face and wait for the blow.
Alex came up to Abby and patted her stomach,"Puck babies."
Abby looked at Puck covering his face. Abby walked over and sat next to Puck. 
She pulled his hands from his face. His eyes were shut ready to be hit.
to Puck's surprise Abby's lips were kissing his lips. He opened his eyes 
to see Abby looking at Alex."They come later, Alex. let's help Puck get to t
he kitchen to have something to eat. Go get your daddy."
"O'tay," Alex scurried out the door.
Puck looked at Abby in a surprised way,"They come later?"
Abby stood up, lifting Puck up with her."You made my wishes come true. In
 return, I'll make some of your wishes come true."
Puck smiled,"And what would you know of my wishes?"
"Plenty, with a mind reader like Alex." He stopped her and hugged her. "I
 love you."
"I love you too."
They heard footsteps running into the room,"Well Puck, it's nice to see you up and about."
"Nice to be seen sir."
