What is weird? This is the question I am asked most frequently. Therefore, in response to the query I answer this: What isn't weird? Or rather, What, my friends, is normal?

How easy it is to argue semantics when it comes to labels, to classifications. I have often pondered whether or not this site is hypocritical. If one is weird and proud of it, and if being weird means that you are outside of some cultural norm, and if being outside a cultural norm means that in many ways one is a nonconformist, WHY attempt to form a new classification... set another standard... become a stereotype? Yes, this does trouble me greatly. To rationalize this concern I can tell myself that this site, its artists its writers, and its readers and viewers are all weird in unique ways and that they bring special talents and ideas. That they DO NOT indeed conform to a title. That they simply need a way to express who they are and this is a place where they may do so unjudged. Definately this is what I hope is the truth. I suppose that it is something that the individual must determine.
