Review

Michael West doesn't expect the minister he is rescuing to be a woman. The Reverend Alyssa Kelleher, came to the jungle on a teaching mission to fulfill a dream of her late husband. A.J.'s husband had been shot down in a senseless convenience store robbery, right before her eyes and she still feels guilty.

She landed in San Christobal, a country embroiled in war. She is kidnapped and held in the same room for a week and she doesn't know if she'll live or die. When Michael rescues her she is overjoyed. Fleeing gunfire, jumping off cliffs and tromping through the jungle provides a bonding experience that neither wanted. Moral and ethical concerns separate them but passion draws them together. And while they might set aside their differences for the sake of survival, a return to civilization means a return to the enormous challenges they face.

This book would have been much better as a single title, giving the author room to expand the characters to bring some resolution to some of the plot lines but this is still a very enjoyable book. MICHAEL'S TEMPTATION is the last book of a trilogy, so also read JACOB'S PROPOSAL SD#1397 and LUKE'S PROMISE SD#1403 you'll enjoy them all.

EXCELLENT
