To Tame A Highland Warrior

To Tame A Highland Warrior

Dell Historical Romance/Dec. 1999

Karen Marie Moning

I've never read a story about a berserker so I loved Karen's use of this legend and the way she wove it in so believably, creating characters I genuinely cared about. It was also great to see Grimm (who appears in her first novel) get his own story.

The heroine's father thinks it's time for Jillian to get married so he has summoned three men to the castle. She must choose a husband from among them. The hero hadn't been back since he'd left her years ago. He's always been in love with her but was afraid he would bring disaster upon her and her clan. Now that he's back Grimm's afraid to consumate their love because he couldn't risk loving her then hurting her because he's a beserker. He tries acting indifferent but it doesn't work for long.

Jillian and Grimm are truly wonderful characters and perfect for each other. Karen has out done herself in her second novel, a follow up to Beyond The Highland Mist (another great story). I would highly recommend this book to everyone. The ledgend, the characters, the romance, it doesn't get much better then this.

EXCELLENT
