The fight against the coming Darkness continues with Meg's daughter, who had been sent away to protect her from the Darkness that is to be the ruination of Arthur, Camelot and all of England. Tristan goes in search of Rianne and instead of finding a protected and well loved child, he finds a surly woman dressed as a boy, who has been living by her wits. Tristan then drags Rianne back to her parents. .

I've enjoyed the Merlin's Legacy series since I first stumbled across it in the book store a few years ago and have not been able to put them down since. However I was a little disappointed in this book. It was still an excellent book but I found that this book lacked the heart that her other books had. Then add that to the fact that several of the passages were repeated throughout the book and you have a story not up to Ms.Evans usual standards. I will continue to read the future books because I love this series but am hoping she goes back to her earlier style.
