Charlotte Boyett-Compo

REVIEW:

As with all Ms. Compo's books, WINDCHANCE is riveting. From the opening page to the unexpected and touching ending, this story will completely captivate you.

No one does tortured heros better than Charlotte Compo. In this dark fantasy, Syn-Jern Sorn must overcome an abusive childhood and a tortured imprisonment to fight the evil priests of... "The Brotherhood Of The Domination". With help from the townspeople of his village, the Pirates who have rescued him from near death and The Daughters Of The Multitude, he sets forth on his perilous quest.

Genevieve Saur is a sassy young girl who matures as the story advances, to prove she is worthy of being Syni's Lady. Genny and Syn-Jern's relationship is a big part of the book and is a well developed story line. But in my opinion, it's the relationships between the men that are much more interesting. Ms. Compo gives us insight into the botherhood of men. The love and interaction of the males in this story is fascinating. It gives us a point of view not often seen in mainstream fiction.

If you like stories of adventure, dark magic, sword and sorcery then you MUST read this book. Do not hesitate, go directly to Dark Star Publications now and order it.
