Jennifer wasn't really looking for a hero, just a boarder to help make ends meet but when Dar suddenly appears and pulls her car out of a ditch, that's exactly what she finds, a hero (and a boarder). Dar is a larger than life Norseman and sorrercer. He has been sent to modern day Earth, by an evil sorrercer, and must now find his way back to his time. He will accomplish this with Jennifer's help. Along the way Jennifer discovers she likes the alpa male type and decides she just can't give him up.

Some parts of this story defy probability, ie. Dar's fire breathing pet dragon that everyone thinks is a bird, but you can overlook quite a bit because it's such an entertaining story. This story combines time-travel, magic, humor and romance and does it wonderfully. If you like Sandra Hill's Viking books try this one you won't be disappointed.

This is Judy's debut novel. I look for great things from her in the future.
