LAW OFFICE OF WILLIAM A. LABACH

Welcome to my web site. I have been serving the legal needs of central Kentuckians since 1975. I practiced in Lexington, Kentucky from 1975 to 2004 and then moved my office to nearby Georgetown, Kentucky. My practice has been in many areas over the years including both civil and criminal litigation. I have tried felony cases to not guilty jury verdicts in both state and federal court. In recent years if have concentrated especially on Bankruptcy, Domestic Relations, and Criminal law. I am the author of two books on law and the Supreme Court: The Supreme Court Fails Its First Test: Chisholm v. Georgia was published in 2009 by VDM. America Wrestles with Race and Civil Rights: Dred Scott, Brown, and Boumediene will be submitted to a publisher soon. The first book is about sovereign immunity of states and federalism. The second one is about the nation's long and difficult history concerning race and civil rights. In May 2008 I was awarded an M.A. degree in History at the University of Kentucky. I also have a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois. Before I was a lawyer, I taught Mathematics at Northwestern University, Florida State University, and several other universities.
