"Der er et yndigt land" (There Is A Lovely Land)

Words by: Adam Gottlob Oehlenschlager
Music by: Hans Ernst Kr?yer
Adopted: 1844

"Derer et yndigt land" was first performed for a large gathering of Danes in 1844, and became popular quickly with the Danish people. It was adopted later that year by the Danish government as a national anthem, but not the sole national anthem. This anthem is on equal status with "Kong Christian",which is both the national and royal anthem.

When the Danish anthem is usually performed or sung, the first verse is played in its entirety, then it is followed by the last four lines of the last verse. (This is true whether the lyrics are sung or not

Some of us are more Serious, some of us are more lighthearted and some post the common ordinary things that make one smile and recall that Life without the simple things to treasure is meaningless.

How About A Nice Game Of Hide And Seek?
Is 'Invisibility Cloak' for Combat Uniforms/BDUs Here Right Now?

by David Crane
david@defensereview.com

Over the last several months, DefenseReview has been reporting on a visual cloaking technology (a.k.a. adaptive camouflage technology a.k.a. electro-optical camouflage technology a.k.a. chameleonic camouflage technology) that's claimed to have been developed by Advanced American Enterprise (AAE) for manned ground vehicles, UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles)/Ground Robots (including weaponized UGVs like SWORDS), infantry warfighters (i.e. human beings), and helicopters (both manned and unmanned). AAE claims that it's developed visible-light-spectrum, thermal/IR (infrared), and night vision (NV)/near-infrared cloaking technology that's viable, i.e. ready-to-go right now for use by U.S. and Coalition forces. The reason we bring this up is that AAE has just released information on their IR/NV-Stealth 4 system, which can be incorporated into flexible materials, including clothing like standard combat uniforms a.k.a. battle dress uniforms (BDUs). AAE claims that any clothing that's treated with its IR/NV-Stealth tech will become invisible to any/all night vision equipment/night observation devices (NVE/NODs) and thermal/IR sensors/viewers, as well as untargetable by IR laser designators sighting equipment (i.e. laser sights), when the wearer flips the switch to "On".

These are some pretty bold claims, but the AAE document on the IR/NV Stealth 4 tech states that AAE can conduct live field demonstrations for interested parties/organizations. So far, DefenseReview has only seen short video clips of certain versions of the Stealth Technology System (STS) being demonstrated. We have not yet seen it demonstrated in person. We're hoping to get the chance to see the STS tech applied to a manned vehicle and/or a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) at some point in the not-too-distant future--in person.

In the meantime, click on the link below to view the IR/NV-Stealth 4 fact sheet:...

IR/NV-Stealth 4 Fact Sheet (PDF Format)

Now that that's out of the way, it should perhaps be noted that there have been a lot of stories lately about the potential use of "metamaterials" a.k.a. negative-index materials a.k.a. negative-index metamaterials a.k.a. left-handed materials for visual cloaking, a.k.a. adaptive camouflage a.k.a. optical camouflage. A number of scientists believe that these metamaterials can be used to bend/redirect light around an object covered in the material, so that the light waves literally flow around the covered object instead of bouncing off it, making it invisible. Light waves are just another form of electromagnetic waves (electromagnetic radiation), which is what metamaterials have already shown to be capabable of bending/redirecting. This electromagnetic wave redirection capability is made possible by an aspect of metamaterials known as negative refraction, in which light is refracted in the opposite direction from the natural positive refraction that all natural materials (like water, glass, diamond, etc.) create when lights hit them. So far, only, specially-engineered composite materials (metamaterials) have been shown to have a negative refractive index, or "index of negative refraction".

One example of a metamaterial is a split-ring structure etched onto a copper circuit board along with copper wires. The metamaterial that's created exhibits negative permativity and negative permeability. R. Colin Johnson explains this, along with its relation to its potential for cloaking objects in an EE Times article.

According to David Schurig of Duke University (and formerly of the University of California, San Diego), metamaterials that can shield objects from microwave radiation will probably be available this year (2006). However, Schurig speculates that using these materials to create an invisibility cloak is perhaps ten years out. He also pointed out while metamaterial cloaks are possible, the first "invisibility devices" would most likely be rigid "shells" rather than flexible/supple cloaks. Mr. Schurig is an associate of David Smith (David R. Smith), who heads a research group on "Novel Electromagnetic Materials" (metamaterials, etc.) at Duke.  Like Mr. Schurig, Mr. Smith also came to Duke by way of UCSD.  Looks like Duke's been busy stealing all of UCSD's best metamaterials talent.

Mr. Schurig's statement that viable metamaterial-based invisibility cloaking technology is somewhere around 10 years out makes AAE's currently-available "Invisibility Stealth" cloaking tech all the more impressive, if it works as well as the company claims, especially since various versions of the Stealth Technology System, including IR/NV Stealth 4, can be incorporated into clothing like military flight suits, combat uniforms/BDUs, and coveralls. In fact, AAE claims that the U.S. Army Advanced Combat Uniform (ACU) BDU can be treated with the Stealth 4 tech when its sent in for cleaning by its owner!  While DefenseReview hopes that the AAE Invsibility Stealth cloaking tech lives up to the hype and does everything the company says it does, we have to maintain a healthy level of skepticism until we either see it operate in person, or a reliable third-party source whom we trust validates it.  Until then, we're in a wait-and-see holding pattern.

Advanced American Enterprise (AAE) can be contacted by phone at 714-287-0490, by fax at 714-870-6385, and by email at aab@ix.netcom.com.

American casualties caused by roadside I E D (Improvized Explosive Devices) triggered by insurgents are reduced by concealing the army carriers & Strykers. The Pentagon solution of 4-video-screens on the 4 sides of the vehicle is too expensive. The Senate-approved 230,000 side armor (3.2 Kg) are too heavy extra burden for Army Secretary Francis Harvey to accept. Also, the full body armor did not help the embedded Journalist ABC Anchor Bob Woodruff.

However the Senate approved but not-spent-yet budget can outfit our 6,000 carriers in the region within 4 months. With visibility reduction of 85-100%, the carriers at more than 20 feet distance are unspottible by insurgents for subsequent I E D targeting.

The Challenge of Protecting Pope Benedict XVI in Turkey
Pope Benedict XVI will begin his first papal visit to a predominantly Muslim
country Nov. 28 when he arrives in Turkey for four days of private meetings,
public masses and other events. The trip, which already has generated some
death threats against the pope, has both Turkish and Vatican security on high
alert.

Tensions between Muslims and Benedict XVI flared up inSeptember when the pope made remarks at Germany's University of Regensburg that seemed to refer to Islam as "evil." Although the pope later sought to clarify his comments, the incident reopened Muslim wounds caused by the controversy earlier in the year over cartoons
of the Prophet Mohammed.

In light of recent incidents -- as well as the ongoing militant
threat
in Turkey -- security officials in Turkey, Vatican City and Italy
are taking threats against the pope very seriously. On Nov. 2, a Turkish man
fired several shots at the Italian Consulate in Istanbul and threatened to
shoot Benedict XVI during his visit to Turkey. The man, who was subsequently
arrested, is believed to have acted alone. In Turkey, Mehmet Ali Acga, who
attempted to assassinate Pope John Paul II in 1981, said from prison Sept. 20
that Benedict XVI should not visit Turkey, and suggested that the pontiff's
life would be in danger if he went ahead with his plans.

That same
day, Rome's city prosecutor launched an investigation into threats against
the pope posted on the Internet by Iraqi jihadist groups. The head of the
prosecutor's anti-terrorism department said the investigation would focus on
statements intended to incite people to take action against a head of state.
Because the pope is the head of state of the Vatican, threats against him
receive the same level of attention from intelligence and law enforcement as
do threats against any other head of state. His status as head of state also
affords him the highest level of protection.

At home in Vatican City,
the pope is protected by two modern security corps: the centuries-old Swiss
Guards and the Gendarmerie Corps of the State of Vatican City. Additional
security is provided by plainclothes agents and Italian Carabinieri, federal
police who patrol outside the square and stand ready as sharpshooters atop
buildings during public ceremonies.

While abroad, the pope travels
with a plainclothes security detail of Swiss Guards, which operates in a
manner similar to the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) or the U.S. State
Department's Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), organizations charged with
protecting the president and U.S. diplomats overseas. The Vatican's security
forces are every bit as proficient as the USSS and DSS.

It is
important to note, however, that the host country ultimately is responsible
for protecting visiting heads of state. Thus, Turkey will collect
intelligence on the national level in advance of and during the trip. In
addition to Vatican and Turkish efforts, various other intelligence agencies
will be looking for possible threats to the pope's safety.

Arrangements between Vatican and Turkish security forces would have been
made months before the pope's visit, starting with an agreement between the
two on how they will operate together. As part of the agreement, agents from
Vatican security would have been deployed to Turkey about a month prior to
the visit in order to assess the security situation and determine potential
vulnerabilities at the sites the pontiff will visit. During this time,
Vatican security will be working closely with the Turkish Security General
Directorate and National Intelligence Agency, which will be compiling its own
security assessments.

Sweeps for potential troublemakers already are
under way in the cities the pope will visit, and Turkish police will pick up
suspected subversives and mentally disturbed people who have made threats
against the pope's life. To this end, Vatican security will provide a list of
people who have attempted to contact the pope with threats. As the visit
approaches, Turkish authorities will likely announce that several "thwarted
plots" against the pope have been uncovered during these sweeps.

However, as media coverage heats up in the lead-up to the visit, the
furor over the Regensburg remarks, and possibly the cartoons, could
re-ignite, especially in a country that is more than 99 percent Muslim. In
any case, demonstrations by religious and student groups can be expected,
most likely at pre-authorized locations. In that case, vigilance by security
forces will be high to ensure the protests do not get out of hand.

As
the pope's arrival date approaches, security forces will take their positions
around the locations on his itinerary. Sweeps for explosives will be
conducted in these areas and countersniper support will be scanning rooftops
and windows. Once in Turkey, Benedict XVI will travel in motorcades of
armored vehicles, which will include decoy cars.

The pope plans to
spend one night in Ankara and two in Istanbul, though information on his
lodgings has not been released. Choices include the Holy See Embassy
Residence in Ankara and the Hilton Istanbul hotel, where U.S. President
George W. Bush stayed on his visit to Turkey in June 2004.

A hotel
stay would present more security challenges for the pope's protective detail
than would a stay in a state-owned residence. Should he lodge at a hotel,
security will have to run checks on all the other guests staying there during
his visit. Moreover, the day-to-day commercial operations of the hotel will
present many security vulnerabilities, especially with caterers, laundry,
cleaning staff and other personnel constantly coming and going.

A
residence owned by the Vatican, on the other hand, can be better secured, and
occupants and staff more thoroughly vetted to screen for infiltrators or
individuals with nefarious agendas. There also would be less vulnerability
from caterers, laundry and other hotel staff coming and going.

The
pope's itinerary includes several stops in Ankara and Istanbul, as well as at
the sites of ancient Christian communities in Smyrna and Ephesus. In Ankara,
the pope will meet with Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Turkey's
highest Muslim authority, Grand Mufti Ali Bardakoglu, who is deputy prime
minister and head of Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate. In addition to
Vatican security, the pope will be protected by the high security that
normally surrounds Turkish leaders. These meetings, as well as others with
Turkish Christian, Muslim and Jewish religious leaders, will take place at
controlled venues and will be attended by screened and invited guests only.
These venues also can be easily locked down and screened for improvised
explosive devices.

Potentially vulnerable points will be at Meryem
Ana Evi Shrine in Ephesus when the pope celebrates mass there Nov. 29, and at
Istanbul's Cathedral of the Holy Ghost, where he will deliver a homily Dec.
1, the last day of his trip. Although those events are open to the public,
the venues will be thoroughly swept for bombs beforehand, and all
participants and the entire congregation will be screened for weapons and
explosives.

Even without the tensions surrounding Benedict XVI's
visit to Turkey, the history of attacks and plotted attacks against his
predecessor requires that security be high at all times. The most serious
attack in recent memory came when Acga shot Pope John Paul II twice in the
abdomen as the pope entered St. Peter's Square in an open-air convertible.
Almost a year after that attack, on May 12, 1982, an ultraconservative
Spanish priest who believed the pope was an agent of Moscow approached John
Paul in Fatima, Portugal, with the intent of stabbing him with a bayonet,
though the man was stopped and arrested before he could reach the pontiff. In
1995, Abdel
Basit

plotted to kill Pope John Paul II during a visit to the
Philippines.

Any papal visit to a foreign country presents
significant security challenges. However, given the recent tensions between
Christians and Muslims -- and particularly between this pope and Muslims --
this visit will require an even higher level of vigilance.

Not Jane Fonda
After I wrote the post about Hanoi Jane, I got to thinking about another story, about another actress from the Vietnam Era.

But Ann-Margaret was not Jane Fonda.

From "Truth or Fiction?"

Full size

Ann-Margret's
Spontaneous Tribute to Vietnam Vets at a Book Signing
Truth!

bulletSummary of the eRumor:

A warm story about a
Vietnam vet who wanted actress Ann-Margret to sign a snapshot he
had taken of her when she once performed for troops in Vietnam. He
and his wife went to a bookstore where Ann-Margret was autographing
books, but an announcement was made that she would be signing books
only, not other memorabilia. The vet decided to get in line anyway
to at least show her the picture and tell her how much visits like
hers meant to troops so far from home. When she saw the photo, tears
came to her eyes and she called him one of her "gentlemen from
Vietnam" and said she would sign the photo for him. She gave
him a kiss and told the crowd how much she appreciated the veterans
for what they had done. It was emotional for those in the crowd, but
especially so for the vet who later told his wife it had been the
first time anyone had thanked him for his service in the Army. Like
other Vietnam vets, he returned to an America that had been
tormented by the controversial conflict and did not offer the
warmth, gratitude, and enthusiasm enjoyed by soldiers returning from
other military actions.

bulletThe Truth:

This story is true.

We have confirmed it with both a spokesperson for Ann-Margret and a
member of her family.  Her web site
receives hundreds of emails from veterans asking about the story as
well as many emails from former soldiers who appreciated Ann-Margret's trips to Vietnam or Korea to entertain troops.

A real example of the eRumor as it has
appeared on the Internet:
From
a Viet Nam veterans' wife Richard, (my husband), never really talked a
lot about his time in Viet Nam other than he had been shot by a sniper.
However, he had a rather grainy, 8 x 10 black & white photo he had
taken at a USO show of Ann Margaret with Bob Hope in the background that
was one of his treasures.

A few years ago, Ann Margaret was doing a book signing
at a local bookstore. Richard wanted to see if he could get her to sign
the treasured photo so he arrived at the bookstore at 12 o'clock for the
7:30 signing. When I got there after work, the line went all the way
around the bookstore, circled the parking lot, and disappeared behind a
parking garage.

Before her appearance, bookstore employees announced
that she would sign only her book and no memorabilia would be permitted.
Richard was disappointed, but wanted to show her the photo and let her
know how much those shows meant to lonely GI's so far from home.

Ann Margaret came out looking as beautiful as ever
and, as 2nd in line, it was soon Richard's turn. He presented the book
for her signature and then took out the photo. When he did, there were
many shouts from the employees that she would not sign it. Richard said,
"I understand. I just wanted her to see it".

She took one look at the photo, tears welled up in her
eyes and she said, "This is one of my gentlemen from Viet Nam and I
most certainly will sign his photo. I know what these men did for their
country and I always have time for "my gentlemen". With that,
she pulled Richard across the table and planted a big kiss on him. She
then made quite a to do about the bravery of the young men she met over
the years, how much she admired them, and how much she appreciated them.
There weren't too many dry eyes among those close enough to hear. She
then posed for pictures and acted as if he was the only one there.

Later at dinner, Richard was very quiet. When I asked
if he'd like to talk about it, my big strong husband broke down in
tears. "That's the first time anyone ever thanked me for my time in
the Army", he said.

Richard, like many others, came home to people
who spit on him and shouted ugly things at him. That night was a turning
point for him. He walked a little straighter and, for the first time in
years, was proud to have been a Vet. I'll never forget Ann Margaret for
her graciousness and how much that small act of kindness meant to my
husband. I now make it a point to say Thank You to every person I come
across who served in our Armed Forces. Freedom does not come cheap and I
am grateful for all those who have served their country.

If you'd like to pass on this story, feel free to do
so. Perhaps it will help others to become aware of how important it is
to acknowledge the contribution our service people make.

Now I grew up Navy Bases, back home the oldtimers refer to my Dad as Chief, he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. When a Bosun or a Gunny tells you to do something you just do it.

Besides I agree with the message I got sent. I don't think Hanoi Jane deserves the accolade.

Being for Peace is one , doing a photo op in an anti-aircraft gun emplacement with a Power we are at War with, used to be called Giving Aid and Comfort to the Enemy. What's the difference between Hanoi Jane and Tokyo Rose?

Those Who Bite The Hand That Feeds Them
From IRIS to my email in box to you.

Abbas' Fatah Declares War on US "Without Mercy"
Last week, IRIS was probably the first to ask the question whether the universally reported Hamas-Fatah civil war is a scam. Certainly America and Israel have been snookered by Arafat and Abbas' good cop (Fatah) / bad cop (Hamas) routine for years. When speaking in Arabic, however, Fatah is as just as bad a cop as any, as this story shows:

Fatah's Al-Aksa Brigades and Others Declare War on America
Four Palestinian Authority terrorist groups, including that of PA President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah organization, called on Muslims worldwide to attack America "with no mercy."

In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the four groups announced that the United States will be a target for them to the same extent Israel is....

The statement more specifically called on the Arab states to support the terrorist groups financially and materially, to "enhance the resistance against the Israeli and American enemy."

Four Palestinian Authority terrorist groups, including that of PA President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah organization, called on Muslims worldwide to attack America "with no mercy."

In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the four groups announced that the United States will be a target for them to the same extent Israel is. They warned that they will attack American targets because of "American support for Israeli crimes and acts of massacre, such as the one in Beit Hanoun."

In the joint communique, the terrorists call on "all free people of the world, and all the mujahadeen [jihadists] to hit the US with no mercy." They added that "Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan are all being destroyed by American weapons; they who plant the bombs and destruction in the region should reap the results of what they planted with their soldiers and warplanes."

The statement more specifically called on the Arab states to support the terrorist groups financially and materially, to "enhance the resistance against the Israeli and American enemy."

The communique was released in reaction to the US veto on Saturday of a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have condemned Israel's counter-terrorism offensive in the Gaza region, which apparently led to the deaths of at least 18 Arab civilians. The resolution also would have established a UN fact-finding team, as well as creating "an international mechanism" tasked with "protection of the civilian populations." In their joint statement, the terrorist groups called the UNSC a "false council... to protect Israel and its security, to the detriment of Palestinian blood."

In addition to the Fatah's Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades, the call to attack the U.S. was issued by the Popular Resistance Committee's Salah A-Din (Saladin) Brigades, the ad-hoc Abu Rish Brigades and the Tawheed Brigades. The last-mentioned group may be affiliated with the international terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.

The four terrorist factions declared: "America, of the false civilization, ignores yet again the blood of innocent people. They have no guilt, yet the Americans look at it [Palestinian blood] as cheaper than Jewish blood. Beit Hanoun was a massacre committed by Israeli hands, using American weapons under US official supervision, with a green light from the US, completed by the Americans' use of the veto in the Security Council

You can go here to see the amounts and kind of assistance USAID provides to these ingrates.

Is U.S. policy pro-Israeli and anti-Palestinian?

The US Government has long maintained a close relationship with the Government of Israel. However, this support for Israel does not imply that the U.S. is anti-Palestinian. Indeed, as stated repeatedly by President Bush, the U.S. supports the establishment of a Palestinian state that will exist side-by-side with Israel in peace. The extraordinary amounts of assistance provided to Palestinians by USAID since 1994 is intended to further that policy.

How much is the USAID WB/G budget?

Since 1994, the regular USAID annual budget has been approximately $75 million. In 2000, the U.S. Congress provided an additional $400 million to USAID for the Palestinian people to facilitate the implementation of the Wye River Peace Accords between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Therefore, between 1994 and 2002, USAID received approximately $1.1 billion for development assistance programs in the West Bank and Gaza. The $1.1 billion appropriated during this period constitutes the third largest amount provided by the U.S. Government for any foreign assistance program. Moreover, according to the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation 's (MOPIC) comparative data, the U.S. is the highest disbursing bilateral donor in the West Bank and Gaza.

I don't know about you, but I want my money back. If not that, at least when a dog bites the hand that feeds it we can stop.

The Great Brand Space Race

The Great Wall of China has for some 600 years reigned alone as the solitary example of Human Endeavor visible from outer space.

Recently it was joined in the Terrestrial Pantheon by the Col Sanders KFC logo.

The SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN! Shiver in fear you Yankee and Euroweenies!

KFC seeks 'alien customers'

by JOEL TAYLOR - Monday, November 13, 2006

For decades the Great Wall of China was rumored to be the only man-made structure visible from space but now it has been joined by a fast food chain.

KFC, with its new self-styled astrovertisement – a huge face of its founder Colonel Sanders – can now be seen by extraterrestrials peering down at Earth. Lucky old them.

The American food giant built the face in the Nevada desert, near Area 51, notorious for its UFO sightings, as part of a global rebranding.

It is made up of 65,000 tiles – 6,000 red, 14,000 white, 12,000 eggshell, 5,000 beige and 28,000 black – a n d was p u t together by a 50-strong team working round the clock for more than three weeks.

The face is 8,120 sq metres (87,500 sq ft) and nearly seven times the size of the London Eye. Photos of the logo were taken last week by a satellite circling Earth at an altitude of 490km (300 miles).

But, despite claims that KFC is 'boldly going where no brand has gone before', the advert may have been beaten in the space race.

Earlier this year lads magazine Maxim claimed its 30m (100ft) poster of Desperate Wives star Eva Longoria near Las Vegas could be seen on Google Earth.

And Coca-Cola also entered the space race with a 120m logo made from 70,000 bottles near the town of Arica, Chile.

Quite what ET might make of these adverts remains unknown. Launching the new KFC logo, president Graham Allen boasted: 'The Colonel is a global icon and we want everyone in the universe to see his new look.'

The new logo sees Colonel Sanders keep his famous string tie but replaces the white suit with a bright red apron.

It is only the third time since the chain was launched in 1952 that the logo has changed.

But the project nearly didn't happen when torrential rain forced designers to move the giant face from flatlands in Utah to Rachel, Nevada. Perhaps ET doesn't like KFC after all.

The Die is cast I would expect McDonalds to make their move in the near future.

Update:My buddy Gabe and I were talking about his at work on break and he came up with an interesting question.

Could the Faces on Mars be Ads? Are ETs Capitalists?

Been Here Before?

There are two speakers in this trailer, who were born into Terrorism, were raised in Terrorism and freed themselves from that Ideology,Walid Shoebat and Nonie Darwish, it would also be worthwhile going to their websites and reading their thoughts.

Biography of Walid Shoebat
Born in Bethlehem of Judea, Walid's grandfather was the Muslim Mukhtar (chieftain) of Beit Sahour-Bethlehem (The Shepherd's Fields) and a friend of Haj-Ameen Al-Husseni, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and notorious friend of Adolf Hitler.

Walid's great grandfather, Abdullah Ali Awad-Allah, was also a fighter and close associate of both Abdul Qader and Haj Amin Al-Husseini, who led the Palestinians against Israel. Walid lived through and witnessed Israel?s Six Day War while living in Jericho.

As a young man, he became a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel, and was later imprisoned in the Russian Compound, Jerusalem's central prison for incitement and violence against Israel.

After his release, he continued his life of violence and rioting in Bethlehem and the Temple Mount. After entering the U.S, he worked as a counselor for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago and continued his anti-Israel activities.

In 1993, Walid studied the Tanach (Jewish Bible) in a challenge to convert his wife to Islam. Six months later, after intense study, Walid realized that everything he had been taught about Jews was a lie. Convinced he was on the side of evil, he became an advocate for his former enemy.

Driven by a deep passion to heal his own soul, and to bring the truth about the Jews and Israel to the world, Walid shed his former life and his work as a software engineer and set out to tirelessly bring the cause of Israel to tens of thousands of people throughout the world: churches and synagogues, civic groups, government leaders and media.

Walid has written several online books including "Dear Muslim, Let Me Tell You Why I Believed" and "Israel, And The World's Mock Trial?, where he exposes anti-Semitism and the hatred of Jews in both the Islamic Christian and secular worlds.

Walid is an American citizen and lives in the USA with his wife and children, under this assumed name

Now They Call Me Infidel : Why I Renounced Jihad for America, Israel, and the War on Terror (Hardcover) is Nonie Darwish's personal story of tragedy and redemption, as well as a scholarly analysis of Middle-Eastern culture. Every Western statesman, indeed every European and American citizen will benefit from Ms. Darwish's unique insights into the danger to Western civilization posed by Radical Islam and sustained by deep-rooted Arab/Muslim cultural dynamics
