Electrical, & Finishing Touches
It is hard to believe! We are working on the final details. When Alexandria looked out her bedroom window on Saturday morning, she exclaimed, "Grandpop put my 'cupla' on top of the barn!" Her playhouse was now inaccessible.
The cupola is all shingled, the shutters are on the main windows and the rough wiring is done. What a great feeling.
On Monday and Tuesday John spent much of the time working on the finished wiring. There are still some materials that have not come in, but by the end of the week it should be completed. We also did some major clean up, so it is really looking good. There was some complication with the clean up when John dropped the tongue of the pick-up trailer on his foot. It resulted in a minor stable fracture that didn't slow him down.
Wednesday John got the brackets for the barn lights and then installed them. The only thing left is the inspection on the electrical and the plate covers.
Wednesday at 11:45 PM, grandchild number three was born.
Brett Cody Gordon weighted in at 8 lbs. 5ozs. and was 20 inches long.
Grandmom and Grandpop got a chance to visit and hold him on Thursday.
The final electrical inspection was done on Friday morning. Everything went well. John installed all the cover plates on the outlets and switches. Now the power company has to make the permanent connection.
The only thing left for us to do is fill it up.
THE BARN IS FINISHED!
