Now this will be a short devotional.
Many years ago I had a knock on my door, I went to see who it was, when I opened the door I saw a man standing there holding a box in his hand,
I somewhat recognized the face, I had heard a lot about him, read a lot about him, but had never really met him.
I thought what does he want, he held out the box and said "someone sent you a gift."
I thought what is he talking about, then he said "can I come in, this box is heavy".
I looked at him with lots of thoughts running through my mind, unsure what to do,
I reached out and pulled the tape from off the box and started raising up the lids,
when it was opened I looked inside and there in the bottom of the box laid a beating heart, with each beat it was like it was saying "I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU",
I felt so strange and I looked at the man and saw a big tear run down his cheek.
Then I saw it was Jesus and He said "My Father sent you this gift, it is my heart that I gave so freely for you, won't you accept this gift".
With tears running down my face, I invited Him in.
He now lives in my heart and I am so glad He does.
He is now knocking at your door, carrying the same gift, what are you going to do?
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I share this gift with you today
In His Love

LOST SAVOUR
December 17,2002
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Luke 14:34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
Does your eggs taste good without salt?
What about a good kettle of fresh green beans or sliced tomatoes?
Salt gives it just the added flavor and zest that it needs to keep it from being bland doesn't it?
Let your mind imagine a church full of Christian people.
They begin the services with a few hymns; they all sound as if they are half-asleep so drug out.
The preacher gets up to give his sermon and he too is sounding oh so tired.
There are some visitors in the congregation and they just kinda glance at one another with a questioning look wondering what is going on.
They ask someone after the services what the problem was, is everyone sick or something and the person answers them and says well I just tell you; it is because we have all been going so much at such a fast pace we just don't have the zest that we once did.
The visitor asked them if they stay in daily prayer and read their bible, well no they said we just have not had the time.
Well there you have it the visitor says, you have lost your savor!
Our what they ask?
Your savor! like salt, it is a savor that gives the food its zest.
If you don't have savor then you are like the bland food.
How can you reach a dying world with hum drumness?
You can't, if a sinner hears a hum drum service they are not going to be reached at all.
If you display lots of energy then they see this and feel this and it draws then to God like a magnet.
No I am not crazy!
Picture in your mind a conversation without any energy and then picture one full of energy; now which of the two are more interesting to you.
Which conversation are you going to listen to?
Example: Brother John is having a dinner next week.
Example: Brother John is having a dinner on the grounds next week with special singers and everything, to raise funds for a special mission trip this fall.
Now which one of these examples displays energy?
People we need to stay in prayer and read our bibles seeking this savor which comes from a close walk with God.
As God shows us things in his word that we never saw before our savor gets stronger and stronger and we hunger for this closeness, for these things to be revealed to us more and more.
They will not be revealed to us sitting on a couch doing nothing though.
He is not going to just drop things in our laps; we are expected to seek it out.

MEN AND WOMEN'S ROLES AS CHRISTIANS
God has been dealing with Omoth and I over the past few months in reference to things that have be changed over time to suit peoples needs and thoughts rather than God's will.
This is the issue that he brought to me today to give you.
That women are to be subjective unto their husband, we are under the authority of the man as far as deciding to do our own way instead of in accord with the husband as far as ruling the home.
The ONLY time a woman is an authority figure is as a mother to her children and even then a secondary one to the father.
Now if God calls a woman to preach then that is His will and has a divine purpose for some reason.
Now men although the women are supposed to be in subjection to you, there are a few rules that apply to you as well.
You are not to lead them wrongfully; meaning in ways that are not of God.
You are instructed according to:
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
to give honour to the woman as a weaker vessel.
He did not say to misuse and abuse her because she is a weaker vessel but to HONOUR which means to treat her with gentleness, kindness and respect.
You are to look upon them as what God intended from the very beginning when Eve was formed "a help mate" not a punching bag, someone to degrade etc.
Your place as the man, is to work the ground by the sweat of your brow meaning you are to work to provide your family’s home, food, and security.
Her role is to take care of the home you provided;
prepare the food you provided and raise the children.
Neither of you is to be abusive physically, verbally or otherwise to one another.
If you are living in God's will none of this will occur anyway!!!!!!
Now women this more than likely will go over like a lead balloon but it must be said irregardless.
If you are a child of God living in His will, no matter what your husband says or does keep your mouth shut and the kitchen utensils in the drawer where they belong, it is not your battle; it is God's.
You are to be subjective no matter what and obey God.
"but you don't know what my husband is capable of when he gets mad!!!!
Oh!!!!!
Well I do know what God is capable of....
Leave the battle to Him.

CALLING ALL WARRIORS
Earnestine Hammons
Aug 24, 2003
We are all warriors according to the word of God.
Are you on the battlefield for our Lord?
Do you have on your full armor?
Or are you propped up in a recliner in front of a television watching the worldly things.
Now is not the time for comfort or pleasure those are all things of the flesh, which will fade away.
We are in a tribulation time a time of spiritual warfare, are you doing spiritual battle for the kingdom of heaven?
If not then you need to get busy.
I was shown about a year or so ago that I needed to wake up the mighty sleeping warrior in order to help fight the battle and save the people and that is exactly what I intend to do, wake up as many of the warriors as possible.
Our time is short and we must be about the fathers business not our own desires.
Read your bible and put on the full armor of God.
Read and read and read because a day is coming real soon that you will not be permitted to own the bible.
It will be considered illegal material.
I challenge each and every one of you that read this to go and visit the sick, the shut in, the incarcerated at least once a week.
I challenge you to witness to each one that crosses your path.
I challenge you to be kind to your enemy to let them see Christ through you.
I challenge you to feed the poor and homeless.
I challenge you to become as humble as a little child in all matters, all circumstances.
Yes I know that it is hard but this is exactly what we must do to be what God wants us to be.
The alarm is sounding for all warriors to wake up.
ARE YOU AWAKE?
