Untamed Heart

Chapter 1

The crowd was high in excitement as Darren Hayes, lead singer of Savage Garden, danced and put out his soul to the audience. Savage Garden have been performing all over the world. They were half way through their American tour and were exhausted. As Darren went off stage to change into his "All Around Me" outfit, Daniel Jones, the multi-instrumentalist of Savage Garden, entertained the audience with a guitar solo. It was a usual routine. Whenever they sang their ab-fab song "All Around Me", Darren would dress up in this white coat with funky glasses, while the girls, Anna-Maria Laspina, lead backup vocalist, and Nicole Macintire, backup vocalist, would dress up in skimpy short glittery skirts and white wigs. This was a hilarious routine, Darren would usually grab his crotch saying,"I can't stop myself".
"All right people make this quick," the stage manager yelled out to the three entertainers getting ready for their "All Around Me" routine.
Geovanna handed the outfit to Darren. He slipped into his dressing room and quickly changed. Darren rushed out making sure Anna and Nicole were ready that he hadn't noticed that his fly was down. Geovanna who was observing the stylish young man and smiled at herself. She remembered the first day they met.

He was at a restaurant with the rest of the band over at Los Angeles when all of a sudden the manager dragged out a young girl who had apparently been swimming in the fountain. She was soaken wet, her clothers dripping on the perfumed carpet. Her long curly raven hair laying damp on her shoulders. She spotted Darren, who was observing the young girl from head to toe. She had to think fast. She broke away from the manager's grasp and ran towards Darren. She put her damp arms around him and smiled.
"Oh baby, you have no idea what I just went through," Darren stared in shock not knowing what was going on, "this man is accusing me of stealing the coins from the fountain."
She gave him a pleading look to go with the flow. Her light grey eyes gleamed with the light. Darren got the idea and played along.
"What!!?? how dare they accuse my little cutie buns. Manager! I demand an explanation!"
*Okay Darren was going a tad bit over board*
The manager began,"She was stealing the coins...."
"That's not true," she interrupted,"I fell in and was trying to help myself up when your bullies came and dragged me out," she nodded towards some oversized waiters.
Darren looked shocked, "That settles it," he stood up and lifted the girl up, "come on pumpkin lets not stay in a restaurant with such barbarians!"
"Whatever you say baby!" She put her arms around his neck.
He carried her out the door and signaled to the others to follow. The rest of the band looked at each other in bewilderment and did as they were told. They followed the wet stains that had been left behind by Darren's "pumpkin."
As Darren reached out of sight the girl let go of Darren, "Okay you can put me down now,"
"But baby, I love to carry you around, especially when your all damp and wet!"
The people entering the restaurant looked back at them.
"Okay, okay you made your point, now can you please put me down."
"Not until you tell me what that was all about," Darren said holding the girl quite firmly.
"Hey I needed the money," she grined.
"So it was true," Daniel said butting in as the rest of the band made their way towards the oddly couple.
"Yeah, but thanks to your buddy here, I'm off the hook," she said while Darren placed her back down on the pavement. His white t-shirt was damp and it formed a circle on his chest.
"Yeah well this buddy doesn't do anything for free," as soon as he said that he had dug his hands in her pockets and pulled out a couple of quarters she had stolen from the fountain.
"Hey!" she yelled, "you know what I had to go through to get those!" She wrestled her way through Darren's arms.
"Yeah, you went through me," he smirked and put them in his pockets.
"Alright you two settle down," Daniel smiled.
"What's going on?" Anna asked watching the funny spectacle of Darren digging his hands in his pockets and the girl desperatly trying to pull them out. Laughing at each other with every attempt.
"Seems to me Darren found his other half," Nicole commented.

Since then Geovanna was known as Darren's other half. They were always pranking jokes on each other. Darren didn't want to leave her behind so he hired her to work with costumes on the tour. Colby couldn't make it to this tour so Geovanna took her place. Geovanna never met Colby in person; for some reason Darren never liked mentioning her in front of Geovanna.
As Darren was about to go onstage Geovanna ran towards him and stopped him.
"What are you doing I'm going on!" he turned to her.
She hugged him and whispered, "Your fly is open you niny." He looked down and did up his zipper. He leaned down and kissed her cheek.
"Thanks pumpkin."
She laughed as he ran on stage and did what he did best, make fans scream with excitement.
