Are You a Teenybopper Fan?


Sunhawk: ok I wrote this one day out of boredom and it’s just something amusing to read. It’s sort of a test and it’s sort of a advice to help you make sure you do not fall victim (or are falling victim) to the TBS (Teenybopper Syndrome)
TBS is not to be confused with being obsessed with Savage Garden. Being obsessed with them is alright. Being mindlessly obsessed with them (like teenyboppers are) is not alright.

Does the mere mention of the name Colby or Michelle send you into a rage?

Because if it does, that’s not healthy. Darren and Daniel are entitled to their own lives and relationships, it is not Colby or Michelle’s fault that they happened to be lucky enough to snag our beloved duo. So if you find yourself plotting various ways to assassinate them or feel vicious glee when you hear that either Colby and Darren have gotten divorced or that one of the gals is ill, please check yourself into the nearest TBS clinic for preventive measures, before your symptoms get worse.

Did you buy the Savage Garden CD for any of theses reasons?

1. All my friends had it and I felt left out.
2. Cuz Darren is so hot!
3. Cuz Daniel is so hot!
4. I wanted that ‘cherry cola song’ but I don’t like the other ones, they don’t make any sense

What did you do during their concert?

Did you spend all your time screaming and fainting? Not a good sign. It is okay to scream sometimes, especially if that’s your way of dealing with excitement or showing your appreciation. But if you didn’t spend anytime dancing, singing along or just sitting and enjoying yourself, I personally think that’s wrong.

Have you bought every single piece of Savage Garden merchandise?

If you said yes, that smacks of TBS. You have already seen this happen with the Backstreet Boys; there is BSB shirts, hats, socks, stickers, sticker books, trading cards, posters, keychains, fridge magnets, etc etc etc until I want to be very ill. I’m not saying it’s bad to buy Savage Garden stuff, when I went to a SG concert I bought myself a poster and t-shirt (admittedly over-priced). But I drew the line at buying a $30 black hat with the album logo badly embroidered on it. That’s just going too far.

Do you like Savage Garden only/mainly for their looks?

This is a classic TBS symptom. I agree that Daz and Dan are quite the eye candy but ignoring their stupendous music talent in favour of phyiscal appearance is a BIG no-no. Enough said.
