Title History: Shawn is a 2-time WWF Tag Champion, a 3-time WWF Intercontinental Champion, a 2-time WWF Champion. While teaming with Diesel, Shawn won the WWF Tag Titles from the Headshrinkers in late 1994. In teaming up with arch-rival Steve Austin for the first time on May 26th, 1997 Michaels won the belts from Owen Hart & The British Bulldog to win the tag straps(.wav). Shawn has since forfeited his co-title as Tag-Team Champion once again due to injury. Michaels's first reign as Intercontinental Champion came when he defeated the British Bulldog on October 27th, 1992 . Michaels then lost the belt to his former tag-team partner, Marty Jannetty, in May of 1993. Shawn lost the belt to Razor Ramon in New Haven, Connecticut later that year. After a long lay-off, the "Heartbreak Kid" returned to defeat Jeff Jarrett on July 23rd, 1995 to win the belt for the last time. Shawn was forced to forfeit that same belt months later due to him refusing to defend the title. At Wrestlemania 12, Shawn Michaels beat Bret "the Hitman" Hart to win the WWF Title for the first time(.wav). After holding the belt for nearly 8 months, he lost it to Sycho Sid at Survivor Series 1996. 2 months later, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas, Shawn beat Sycho Sid in a rematch to become two-time champion.

Major Matches: Some of the greatest matches of all time have involved Shawn Michaels. First of all, his win at Wrestlemania 12 in the first ever "Iron-Man" Match. Secondly, a series of matches against Razor Ramon including two memorable ladder matches that are some of the best ever.(.avi) In an unforgettable match, Shawn defeated the challenging Mankind to retain the WWF Title. And finally, Shawn beat Vader at Summerslam 1996 to retain the WWF Title.
