#3 Plastic Habitats
A plastic habitat is great because it mimics the way gerbils live naturally in the wild with all the tubes like tunnels and different compartments are like burrows. The only disadvantages are that it can be easily chewed and can smell over time and are very, very expensive. It also proves hard to disinfect ever inch while cleaning the cage. Gerbils an also be difficult to pick up. Because it is easily chewed it can be destroyed quickly. Plastic are easily destroyed, thus they are a waste of a lot of money. I say that they make a much better play ground for gerbils than a permanent home.
