The month passed by so slowly that both Justin and McKennah thought they would go insane. Phone calls, e-mails, and even live chats passed the time but it still seemed as if they were apart forever.
Finally though, Justin was coming home and McKennah was waiting at the house with Christina. She had been out of town until earlier that morning and she didn't have time to meet them at the airport.
"I can't wait to see Justin..," McKennah said as her and Christina sat in the kitchen.
"Well, I can't wait to see JC..it seems like it's been a year since I last saw him.."
"It's been awhile for you two, definitely."
"Yeah, all because of my stupid new job. My boss is a prick, that's all I gotta say..."
"I'm sorry.."
"Yeah, me too."
McKennah smiled and picked up a chip, "JC could always get his bodyguard to go beat him up."
"Yeah...but that seems like a waste of a good bodyguard."
"Oh.."
Christina laughed, "I'm just kidding. Anyways, so you are going with the guys when they leave next month?"
McKennah nodded, "Yep. God forbid, I stay home for a summer. But it's all good."
"It'll be fun."
"Are you going to be able to come, any?"
Christina shrugged, "Don't know. I'll probably be able to get off for a week or two but probably not more than that.."
"Ohhhh that's too bad."
Both heads turned as they heard a car door slam. They looked at one another and then scrambled off the chairs and ran for the door. Christina grabbed the handle about a second before McKennah's hands grabbed it as well. "Let me open it!"
"No! ME!"
"MCKENNAH!"
"CHRISTINA!"
Both were surprised, however, when the door was opened from the outside and they were knocked onto the hardwood floor. The girls exchanged another look before dissolving into uncontrollable laughter. The two guys stood in front of them, bags in hand, and looked at one another like they were confused. "What are they laughing at?," JC whispered.
Justin shrugged, "I have no clue whatsoever dude."
McKennah finally got up off the floor and offered a hand to Christina to help her up. The girls straightened themselves out as best they could, trying not to laugh again, and then looked at the guys. "Hi guys, how was the ride here?," Christina asked desperately trying to keep a straight face.
"Umm..good..are you two okay?," JC asked.
"Yeah..fine..," McKennah said fighting off a giggle.
Christina snorted and both began to laugh again and leaned against each other for support. "I think they're on crack.," Justin whispered.
"I agree.."
Christina playfully punched her boyfriend, "Are not."
JC put on a smile, "Hi honey."
"Hi baby, now com'mere!"
"Yes ma'am."
Justin and McKennah stood awkwardly nearby as the two practically began making out right in front of them. Justin grabbed McKennah's hand and led her towards the kitchen. "They're gross.," He said.
She smiled, "Yeah..but it's cute."
"Uh huh, now you better get over here."
She took a step towards him, "Ohh really?"
"Yep. I missed you."
"I missed you too J."
He pulled her close to him, "Did you think you were going to go insane, as much as I did?"
"If not more."
"Somehow, I doubt that.," He said smiling.
She finally leaned up and kissed him, then pulled back and smiled, "I have been waiting for SO long to do that!"
"I've been waiting, oh about five minutes, for you to do that."
She ran her fingers through his hair, "It looks cute."
"I wanna cut it.."
"Don't. I like it."
"Okay, then I won't."
Christina poked her head around the corner, "Hey, we're gonna head to Jayce's, call ya later girl?"
McKennah smiled, "Yeah, sure."
"Cool..Bye Justin!"
"Bye Chris! Bye JC!"
The door closed and Justin grinned down at his girlfriend, "Alone at last."
"Mmm hmm...so, what do you wanna do?"
"I wanna unpack and take a nap.."
"Sounds good, come on, I'll go help ya."
He let her pull him towards where he had left his bags and both of them carried them upstairs and into Justin's bedroom.
McKennah perched herself on one side of the bed, with a suitcase in front of her, Justin on the other with a bag in front of him. "Want the stuff that's folded to stay folded?"
"Yep..the stuff not folded or anything is still dirty...I'm gonna have SO much laundry to do."
She nodded and pitched a shirt towards the door, "Then, we'll start a dirty clothes pile over there.."
"Cool...you're so smart."
"Yep, I know it."
"Smartass.," He said.
"Know that too."
The sun had just set and McKennah went up the stairs and into Justin's bedroom. They had finished unpacking his things in record time and she took his dirty things down to throw in the laundry, she went back up stairs and he was asleep. She figured it was time for him to wake up.
She went into his room and looked at him and almost didn't want to wake him up. He had stretched out as long as he could on his back in the middle of the bed, one arm was thrown to the side, the other was lying on his chest. She crawled up on the bed, "Justin? Come on, time to wake up.."
He groaned and swatted at her. She jumped back,"Ok, I'll forget you did that..wake uuppp J!"
He groaned again and rolled over, "Go away.."
"Justin..sweetie, honey, COME ON!"
His eyes shot up, "Geez McKennah!"
"Sorry..now, are you hungry?"
He nodded, "Yeah...but I wanna sleep for three days.."
"Oh don't whine...come on, let's go get something to eat then you can come home and go back to sleep."
He sat up and threw his legs over the side of the bed, "Ok..let me go shower and change real quick.."
"Okay.."
"Thanks McKennah.."
"You're welcome J."
