After reassuring Amanda and LeighAnne she'd be fine, Madison unlocked the door to her house and went inside. It was completely silent, something she hated. That house for some odd reason always made her nervous to be alone. Maybe it was because she lived alone.
She sat down on the couch in the living room and thought about what Dave had said. He was right, he knew pretty much everything about her, including the secrets no one needed to know. In reality, he did hold the upper hand. But, she was a strong woman, she wasn't going to let him get to her. He was probably just bluffing anyways, just to see how scared he could make her. In all actuality, he could scare the absolute shit out of her.
She sighed and flipped on the tv. But nearly jumped out of her skin when the phone rang. "Hello?"
"Hey, how come you didn't come back over here?"
"Hey Kev. I just wanted to think by myself for a minute. I'm sorry I didn't call."
"Its okay...what happened at the mall? I called Leigh and she said that Dave was there."
Madison groaned inwardly, she had forgotten that LeighAnne and Amanda would tell Kevin what happened. "Nothin you need to worry about Kev. I can handle this on my own."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive..so..what are you doing?"
"Playing with Reese...I think she misses you."
"And her owner doesn't?"
"Of course I do.."
"Good."
"Want to go out tonight?"
"I don't care..I'm kinda tired though.."
"Well..since your car is here, how 'bout I drive it over and we have dinner and watch some movies?"
"Sounds good.."
"Okay..I'll be over in twenty."
"Ok..see you then."
Kevin was busy feeding Reese when the phone rang. Since he was about to leave, he decided to let the machine get it and listen to it. "Kevin? This is Dave, now I know I'm probably the last person you want to hear from but you have to listen to this. There's things about your little girlfriend you don't know and probably need to. Its crucial, its-"
Kevin picked up the phone and slammed it back down. He didn't need to hear from Dave at all...and wasn't going to listen or talk to him.
He grabbed Madison's spare keys and went out to her car and got in.
Once at Madison's house, he got out, and made his way up to the front stoop. The door opened before he could knock and revealed Madison, smiling up at him. "I missed you."
He playfully raised an eyebrow, "Oh you did, did you?"
She grinned, "Yep."
"Well good, cause I missed you to.," He said before kissing her.
She laughed and pulled away, closing the door behind him. "What'd ya bring??"
"Ummm..movies, duh."
"Funny..what'd ya bring!?"
He laughed, "I brought Independence Day and Romeo+Juliet."
"Ohhh..I love Leonardo DiCaprio."
"Yes..I know."
She laughed and leaned against the kitchen counter, "So..since you brought the movies, what would you like to eat?"
He shrugged, "Have no clue..you decide."
"Okay."
Kevin smiled as Madison snuggled deeper into his arms later in the evening after dinner and watching one movie, Independence Day. He smiled and kissed the top of her head. "I got a weird call just before I left."
"Oh really..who was it?"
"Dave..saying he knew stuff about you that I needed to know or something."
He noticed she tensed visibly. "Madison?"
She sat up and flipped the tv off. "What else did he say?"
"That was it..I hung up on him before he could say anything else. What was he talking about?"
"Oh..I don't know."
"I think you do Mads..," He said as she stood up, "You can tell me anything Madison.."
"I can't tell you this Kevin..you'd hate me and want to kill me or something."
He stood up and walked over to her. "Madison..I could never hate you..I love you, you know that."
"You love me?"
"Yes..I can't exactly say it any other way."
She smiled, "I love you too Kevin."
He hugged her almost protectively to him, "You tell me when you're ready..okay? And I could never hold whatever it is against you."
She nodded against his chest, "I'll tell you one day Kevin..I promise."
