"SHIT! MADISON!," Kevin yelled, his hands over his eyes.
"Oh my God! I didn't know it was you!! HOLD UP! Why in the hell are you in my house?!"
He groaned and took his hand away from his left eye, "Because I wanted to apologize, okay?"
Her expression softened and she led him over to a bar stool and had him sit down. She walked over to the freezer and got an ice pack out of it and handed it to him. "Hold it over your eye..hopefully it won't be too black. You scared the living daylights out of me, you know I don't like being in this house alone and you made it all that much worse!"
"Well geez, I'm sorry, I didn't expect your right hook to come into play.," He said.
"I am so sorry Kevin..It was kinda a reflex. God, I can't seem to do anything right, can I?"
Kevin smiled, despite the situation, "Its okay..really."
"No its not Kevin. I shouldn't of blamed the whole firing thing on you and now punching you..I think I'm gonna go upstairs and sleep for a year or two..maybe by then, everything will be cool and I can go on living normally without embarrassing myself."
"Madison?"
"Yeah?"
"Shut up."
"KEVIN!"
He smiled, "You did nothing wrong. Yes, it hurt to accuse me like that but I understand. And, as for punching me? I'll just tell the guys, I ran into a tree.."
"They wouldn't buy that."
"Yea well..they got me in here."
"Yeah, how did you get in my house??," She asked crossing her arms in front of her.
He grinned sheepishly, "Brian had the key?"
"Wrong answer.."
"Okay, okay, I had the key."
"Thats what I thought."
He stood up and walked over to where she was standing. Madison backed up till her back hit the counter, she knew she was stuck. "Look at me..please."
She looked up and immediately was drawn into him, his eyes revealed everything..including that he still loved her. "Madison..I came here to apologize for being a jerk. We're both stubborn people that hit heads every once in awhile..I want you so bad..I need you so, so bad."
"Don't make me cry."
"I don't want you to."
"You say all these sweet things knowing that its just gonna make me cry and everything.."
He smiled, "I don't like to see you cry Madi.."
"Yeah..but I love it when you're all sweet and romantic like this.."
"So..are we an 'us' again?"
She nodded, "Yeah.."
He grinned, "Really?"
"Yes..now would you just kiss me?!"
He laughed and..happily obliged.
Kevin groaned as he opened his eyes..to very new surroundings. 'Where am I?,' He thought as he goggily crawled out of the bed
He then noticed Madison asleep right by him. 'Whoa buddy..what did we do last night??,
Then he remembered, they had had dinner and talked like all night. She had fallen asleep and he had carried her into her bedroom, the days' events had finally caught up to her and she was exhausted. He was too tired to leave, and really didn't want to, so he crawled in next to her and had fallen asleep. Madison groaned and opened her eyes, "Its too bright."
Kevin laughed, "Thats what I was thinking."
She jumped up, "What the hell?!"
"No, we didn't do anything.."
"Oh..whew, just a thought there for a second."
He crawled back into the bed and laid back down, "I could get used to this though."
She smiled down at him and ran a hand through his short hair, "I could get used to havin' you around like this..you're not too bad to wake up too.."
"You aren't either.," He said kissing the palm of her hand.
"Yeah right..I bet I look awful..no sleep for a week does that to you.."
"You look fine..," He said leaning up on his elbow.
"So..what do we do now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Like..what do we tell everybody?"
"We tell the guys the truth, its partly because of them I'm here. We tell everybody else, a little bit, but not too much."
"I still don't know what I'm going to do though..I mean, I have no job."
He kissed her quickly, "Let me work on that, okay?"
"Kevin."
"Madison..let me do this one thing..okay?"
"Fine..no fast food though."
"Of course not! So..we can be seen together in public, right?"
She nodded as she got out of bed and walked over to her dresser to brush out her hair. "I guess so..why?"
"Our first public appearance, the big party next Friday."
