Kevin kissed Madison in the van as she was being dropped off at the airport for her trip back to Orlando. She groaned and pulled back, "You keep doin' that Kev and I won't be able to leave."
He grinned, "Thats the WHOLE point."
She laughed and wiped her lipstick off his face, "I know..but I wanna see Andrew and I know you all will be home soon..call me tonight?"
"Of course..bye Madison."
She kissed him again, "Last time, I promise, bye Kevin."
"I love you."
She smiled as the van door was opened, "I love you too.."
He watched as Lonnie took her two bags and she swung her carry-on over her shoulder. Kevin watched as she was led into the airport and disappeared from his sight. The smile slipped off his face and he sighed deeply. He hated having to watch her leave him like that. He hated himself for having to leave her. 'Thats the price I have to pay..,' He thought as he saw Lonnie come back and get in the driver's side.
Lonnie looked in the rearview mirror and smiled at Kevin, "Madison told me to give you a hug and a kiss, I can do the whole hugging thing but, and no offense, but I ain't kissing you."
Kevin laughed.
Madison held onto Andrew's hand tightly as they wound their way back to the parking lot and her car. "Aunt Madison??"
"Yeah Drew?"
"Can we stop and getting McDonald's??"
"You just ate! You can't be hungry again already!!"
He laughed and hopped onto her back, "Yes I can!"
She wrapped his legs around her waist as he held onto her neck. She smiled, "Fine, I have to stop by Kevin's house anyways and I'll stop and get you some Mickey D's...okay with you?"
"Yeah!"
She found her car and unlocked the doors. Andrew ran around to the passenger side and got in and Madison locked the doors once he was in and had his seat belt on. She stopped at McDonald's and got him something to eat and then drove to Kevin's house. As she fiddled with the lock, Andrew heard the dog barking. "Does Kevin have a dog??"
"Yep, his name is Reese and he's a dalmation."
"Ooohh! Is he big?"
"Yeah, he's pretty big."
"Cool!"
She let them in and Reese immediately ran up to Andrew to see who he was. Madison went into the kitchen and flipped on the lights in there as well as in the living room. Andrew ran in with Reese behind him and flopped down on the couch to watch tv. Madison grabbed a coke and took a seat next to Andrew. "Can I look around upstairs?"
"Sure..go on."
He ran off and Madison flipped the tv over to the news.
"And more on the plane crash of Flight 5648 from Trenton, New Jersey to Orlando, Florida. No fatalities have been reported and information is sketchy at this time. We do know that the plane was en route to the Orlando International Airport when the pilots reported engine trouble. The plane went down just five minutes after that..John?"
Another reporter began talking, "We have just gotten more news in. No deaths, but there are some severe injuries and it is being reported that the members of the famous pop group, Backstreet Boys, and their entourage were on board the plane when it went down..more news as it is recieved..now back to our regular programming..."
Madison felt her blood run cold, 'no, it couldn't be...not them..'. She ran to the phone and began dialing anyone she knew and anyone she could think of. "Ann?? This is Madison..."
"Yes dear, I just heard..."
"Me too..I just got back from Disney with my nephew, Andrew."
"Have you heard anything??"
"No, thats why I called you..I just heard that its speculated that they were on board..."
Ann sighed on her end of the line, "I think they were..."
"But they're in the middle of their tour! They aren't supposed to be coming home yet!"
"Madison, listen to me..."
She took a deep breath, "What?"
"Kevin called me the other night and was talking to me about..things. He said something about how he had to ask you something..."
"Ask me what??"
"I shouldn't tell you this...its supposed to be a surprise.."
Madison's eyes widened, "Oh no..he wasn't..."
"He wanted to..he called your father and brother and asked for your hand in marraige."
"Oh my God...he was coming home to ask me to marry him????"
"Yes."
"Oh my God Ann....they were on there..oh my Lord.."
"Madison, I'm flying in tonight, I'll be at his house sometime by 9, okay?"
"okay..."
"You hang on till I get there.."
"I'll...I'll try..."
