Kevin laughed as Nick tackled Madison into the ice blue ocean water. She stood up and shoved him, making him fall down, she then stalked up to where Kevin was still laughing at her. She glared playfully before wringing her hair out on him. He jumped, "Hey!"
She laughed and sat down on the towel, "Thats what you get for laughing at me."
"Aww..but it looked so funny!"
She stuck her tounge out at him, "So what..I got him back."
"I know.."
She brushed out her wet hair and pulled it back off her neck and laid down. The boys had taken a much needed break for a day at the beach in Tampa and it was absolutely gorgeous. Miles of the beach stretched far and wide. The ocean was a clear icy blue and was warm enough to get in actually. Madison sheilded her eyes and looked towards Kevin, "I wish you all weren't leaving tomorrow.."
He nodded and turned towards her, "I know..I wish you could come."
She shrugged, "Maybe its for the best. Distance makes the heart gorw fonder, ya know?"
He nodded again, "Yeah but still.."
She smiled, "I know what you mean. But, you're gonna call and I have ALLL the pager and cell numbers I need."
"I just don't want you to be bored, I know you're used to being around us and the fans and being up at like 6 a.m. I just don't want you sitting back in Orlando with nothing to do."
"I won't be bored now that I've actually gotten a job. I'll miss you and the guys but I know that you're just a phone call and a plane trip away."
He grinned, "Thats right. And you'll come see us, right?"
"Of course! Who's gonna keep you out of trouble?"
He laughed, "True..maybe you can invite Tricia out for a week or something."
"Thats a good idea..I'll call her tonight."
He put his arm around her, "Sounds good."
Nick ran up and grabbed Madison from Kevin's arm, "I gotta talk to your woman for a minute Train!"
Madison followed, confused, as to why Nick wanted to talk to her about. "Nick...Nicky..Nick!"
He stopped behind a pile of rocks, "I have to talk to you and nobody can know."
"Okay..what??"
"You know we're leaving tomorrow, right?"
"Yes Nick."
"okay..I just...I have to make sure...you and Kev are together, right?"
"Yes Nick."
"Okay....don't..hurt him Madi."
"Nick..what are you talking about?"
"I just have this...this...feeling...that something will go wrong and I don't want it to go wrong..you two are perfect together.."
She smiled and ran her hair through his spiky hair, "Nicky..don't worry..you're always the one to be this nervous, now don't be. I love Kevin, and I would never do anything to hurt him because I know I'd have his four 'brothers' on me in an instant.."
Nick grinned, "I know...I just..had to make sure"
"I know you did..but, everything is fine, perfect, whatever!"
He laughed and hugged her, "Who am I gonna go to for advice while we're gone?"
"Well..we'll set a date where we'll both be online and you can talk about anything you want..okay? No matter how late or what day, I'll make time for you."
"Sounds good...now, we'd better get back before Kevin thinks I've kidnapped you."
She smiled and they started off back to the group.
Kevin smiled to himself as he heard Madison laugh about something Tricia said later that night. About eight o'clock she had called Tricia in North Carolina to talk to her friend. Kevin trudged downstairs to find something to eat. "So, he did what?! Oh my Lord Tricia!"
He poked his head into the living room and looked at Madison lying on the couch, her feet hanging off, phone in her hand. She smiled at him and then her jaw dropped as Tricia said something else, "No way! You are lying you have to be!"
Kevin went back into the kitchen as Reese came in. Madison padded her way into the kitchen and sat up on the counter. "No, I'm in the kitchen with Kevin now. So, you comin' down??"
Kevin looked at her and she smiled at him, "Hold on a sec Trish. Okay...hey, Kevin how about she fly down next Sunday and leave that Friday, then that Saturday I fly out to meet you all in...LA, would that work?"
He nodded, "Sure..sounds good to me. You all can stay here if you want, its closer to everything..plus, you're taking care of Reese.."
"True..Lemme ask her. Okay I'm back, did you hear that? How does that sound? Okay..awesome girlie, you call me tomorrow night, okay? Alrighty, love you too girl, bye."
She hung up the phone, "She said thats fine and before she gets off work tomorrow she said she'd make a flight.."
He walked over to her with a bowl of ice cream, "Least you'll have a friend here till Leigh and Amanda come back."
She nodded, "Yeah..its been awhile since I've seen her."
"I know you miss her..want some?"
She nodded and he fed a spoonful of the ice ceam. "Yummy..so, we can stay here?"
"Sure, in fact, I meant to ask you awhile ago but I forgot."
"Figures..I'm gonna go check my e-mail, k?"
"Yep..remember my password?"
"Yep.."
"K, I'll be up in a minute."
