AJ was carrying around his small, 3 month old daughter around the backyard. He smiled down at the newest addition to their family, Madison Leigh. Nicholas and Chris were swinging from the jungle gym. "Dad!! Bring her over here!!," Chris yelled as he swung higher and higher.
AJ smiled and walked over to the two boys. "Is she sleeping again ?," Chris asked exasperated.
"Yes, she's only three months old. When you two were this old, and this small, you both slept this much, if not more."
"Nu uh!," Nicholas said defiantely.
"Yes you did, go ask your mom if you don't believe me."
"fine, I will!"
AJ smiled as Chris ran to the house to go find Taylor. He dragged her out a few minutes later, "Now, mommy, is it true when me and Nicky were Madison's age, we slept as much as her?"
Taylor nodded, "Afraid so.."
"Really? Whoa!"
She smiled and took the empty swing and pulled Chris onto her lap. "Yeah..but babies are supposed to sleep that much.."
"How come?"
"Well..because they don't have..enough energy to stay awake."
"Plus, babies can't do anything anyways.," Nicholas said.
"Not right now..but in about a year or so, Madison will be running around with you two.," AJ said.
"Can we teach her how to play football and basketball?," Chris asked.
"If you want..but she should be a little bit older before you go do that.."
"Okay.."
Taylor set Chris on the ground and stood up, "I'll take her inside and put her down."
"Okay.," AJ said handing her the baby.
She carried Madison back into the house and closed the door behind her.
"Dad?"
"Yeah Nicky?"
"When are we going to go see Uncle Nick and Jayde, and Uncle Howie and Alicia, and Uncle Brian and Aunt Jane, and Uncle Kevin and Aunt Marie and Alycia??"
"I don't know..probably soon, why?"
"Just wondering."
"Oh, okay..come on you two, let's go inside and get something to eat..what do you all want?"
Both boys exchanged a look and looked up at their father and answered in unison, "McDonald's!"
AJ shook his head and smiled as the boys laughed and ran into the house.
AJ sighed happily and looked over at Taylor who was dozing in the chair next to him. "Taylor?"
"Hmm?"
"Why don't you go to bed?"
She shrugged and opened her eyes, "Don't know..I'm not tired, really, just kind of worn out."
"Come here then."
She smiled, got up, and sat down next to him. "They're all asleep..," He said quietly.
"I know..Madison will wake up in about three hours though.."
"So? We got three hours.."
She laughed as he grinned, "All you think about, huh?"
"Yeah!"
"So..whats up with the other guys?"
"Well, we're all supposed to head to the O arena and do some big show thing.."
"When? You never told me.."
"I just found out last night when Howie called. They haven't worked out the final date though.."
"Ohh.."
"Come on, I know you're about to fall asleep.."
"AJ..I just got comfortable!"
He laughed and helped her up, "The bed's more comfortable than our couch.."
"Yeah..guess you're right.."
