AJ finally convinced Taylor that they should go on the cruise for the weekend. Denise was free so she was going to take the twins. Taylor kissed Nicholas' forhead once again, "I'm gonna miss you so much baby boy."
Nicholas just laughed. She handed him to Denise and hugged and kissed Chris. "Come on Taylor..we don't wanna miss the boat.," AJ said.
Taylor sighed and smiled at Denise, "I never thought it'd be this hard.."
Denise smiled, "You'll be fine. It'll be a little weird. Feel free to call though if you want."
"Thanks Denise.."
"Now go on, before AJ comes up here after you."
Taylor hugged Denise, thanked her once again, and walked down to the Expedition. AJ started up the car, made sure Taylor was in, and then pulled out. He noticed Taylor looking behind her and took her hand, "Baby..you know its for the best..we need this..just you and me.."
"I know..but its going to be so weird not hearing Chris laugh or Nicky cry or something.."
"I know..we'll call tonight just to check up..plus, we'll be back the day after tomorrow."
Taylor nodded, "I know.."
An hour later, they were on the cruise ship and in their room that just happened to be a suite. They changed their clothes and went to explore the rest of the ship. "Look at that pool!," AJ exclaimed.
Taylor looked over the railing and down at the large pool with the slides and diving boards, "Wow..talk about a pool..it outdoes yours."
AJ laughed, "Ours."
"It was yours first.."
"Whatever..I could add a slide or two though..," He said thoughtfully.
She hit him playfully, "No, no, and no. The pool is fine the way it is."
"I was joking."
"You better be..now come on, I wanna go look around some more."
"I'm coming..," He said following her.
They looked all over the ship, and finally went back to their suite to get ready for dinner. "Taylor? What are you wearing?"
Taylor opened the bathroom door and looked at AJ lying on the bed, "I'm wearing this."
AJ opened his eyes and looked towards the bathroom, "Whoa..hello!"
Taylor laughed, "Shut up."
"Can you change that?"
"Why?!"
"Someone might try to steal you."
"They'd see you, that hair, and those tattoos and leave me alone right away.," She said sitting beside him on the bed.
"You look great..now, what am I goin' to wear?"
"Maybe that tux..."
"Nothing will look as good as you."
Taylor blushed, she had brought a long black, sleek, Versace dress with a long slit up the side. "Flattery will get you..umm..everywhere Mr. McLean."
He grinned as he pushed himself off the bed, "You know it Mrs. McLean."
After AJ finished getting dressed, and Taylor finished her hair, they walked down to the banquet hall. So far, no one had recognized AJ. There didn't seem to be any teenagers or what would be BSB fans on the ship.
They found a table in a kind of dark corner and sat down. A waiter came over and took their drink orders and gave them the menus. "What do you think you're going to get?," Taylor asked.
AJ looked over, "I have no clue..you?"
"Lobster..I haven't had lobster in forever!"
He smiled, "Hmm..that sounds good..I may get that too.."
After dinner and dancing, Taylor and AJ decided to walk around before going back to the suite. Taylor stood in front of the railing overlooking the dark blue waters of the Atlantic. A warm breeze wound its way through her hair. She shivered slightly and AJ put his arms around her from behind and laid his chin on her shoulder. "This is so relaxing..," She said.
"Yeah..dinner was good."
"Yep..we'll definately have to thank Brian and Jane.."
"Oh yeah..by the way, when was the last time I told you you looked beautiful?"
Taylor smiled teasingly, "Not since..umm..before dessert.."
"Well..you look beautiful.."
"You're not looking so bad yourself..but there were alot of other women who looked alot better than me.."
AJ shook his head, "No..all I could see was you.."
"Sweettalker."
"Don't I know it..you don't think you looked good?"
"I looked okay..but I think..I don't have..like..a body..like I used to.."
"You had twins my dear.."
"I know..but that was nearly...what? 10 months ago."
"You look fine..you look alot better than some people who've had babies.."
Taylor sighed, "You're too sweet.."
AJ kissed her neck, "I love you."
"I love you too.."
"Wanna head up?"
"Yeah.."
They walked up to their suite and inside. They both changed and then climbed into bed to watch a movie.
