Chapter 9

Two nights later in Atlanta, Georgia, Nick made sure that Natalia kept her promise. After the show, Nick entered Natalia's room while she showered and found the perfect outfit.

She came out of the bathroom, a towel covering her wet hair, and dressed in a t-shirt and shorts and sat on the edge of the bed while Nick went through her suitcases and bags looking for an outfit. "I just don't see why I can't find my OWN outfit."

He growled slightly under his breath, "Because, you don't wnat to do this, yet you are anyways. If I know you Natalia, you're going to like put on something real ugly and non-revealing. We're going for REVEALING tonight."

"Nick!"

"What? You got the body, show it."

She crossed her arms in front of her, "Are you trying to make someone jealous or some shit? This is ridiculous..I just got done dancing for two hours in an outfit that I am convinced one day will rip when I make a wrong move..why would I want to put on another outfit I can barely move in??"

"Nat..just work with me here, huh?"

"Fine..whatever...you're lucky I brought my favorite clothing..least I'll wear that stuff."

He grinned standing up, "Found it! Put this on, I'll be back in twenty minutes and we're leaving. Be ready."

He was gone before she could say another word. She groaned and then looked at the outfit he had handed her. 'I think the look he was going for was umm..HOE..,' She thought as she looked at the shirt...or lack of the shirt.

She slid the shorts off of her legs and pulled the tight leather pants up and buttoned them, they rode low and she knew she wasn't going to be doing a whole lot of sitting if she was going to wear this. The shirt...whoa the shirt. She was going to kill Nickolas Gene Carter...that boy had it coming to him. The shirt lowered to just above her belly button and was cut way low in the back. She looked at the clock, she didn't have much time to finish getting ready.

As Natalia stood in the bathroom putting on some make-up, she smiled, if Nick wanted to see what she had. She was going to show him....alot.

Twenty minutes later, Nick knocked on her hotel door. She swung it open and he let out a low whistle as his eyes scanned her up and down. She punched him once just for good measure as he stepped in. "ow! What was that for??"

"Picking out this outfit."

"Why? You look great!"

"I look like a hoe!"

"Everyone does at clubs."

She sighed, "Fine. Let's just go and get this over with."

He smiled, "Alright with me."

"You're going to PAY, Carter...just know that. Because when we get to NYC, that is SO my territory and you're not gonna know what hit ya."

"Alright Natalia.."

They were at the club in about fifteen minutes and inside the club within seconds, it seemed. Natalia smiled as she felt the bass begin to thump in time with her heartbeat. It wasn't that she didn't like going to clubs, it was just she didn't really know these people she was around well enough just yet.

She saw Michelle and some of the other dancers as Nick led her to where AJ and Howie were. Michelle sent a not-so-nice glare her way, which Natalia tried hard to ignore.

Nick had caught Michelle's glance towards Natalia and quickly took her hand. Michelle had been trying a little too hard to attract his attention; the girl was annoying..plain and simple. He noticed that Natalia's body had been steadily moving ever since they had entered, he smiled, he knew this was going to be good. "You want anything to drink?," He asked, leaning towards her ear so she could hear him.

She shook her head, "No, I'm gonna head out and dance..come join me later?"

He smiled, "I will..go on."

They seperated; Nick towards the bar and Natalia towards the dancefloor.

Natalia soon found a willing dance partner who introduced himself as Brad. The song changed to Britney Spears' new song, 'I'm A Slave 4 U'. Natalia grinned, the beat was good. The fact that it was Britney was a little bad, but she liked the beat. Brad's hands found her hips and pulled her closer as the beat filled them both.

Nick was back at the table with AJ in a matter of minutes with a drink in his hand. AJ exclaimed, "Daaammn..look at her!"

Nick looked to where AJ was to see Natalia grinding with some guy. His anger rose just a bit but he tried to keep it in check..it wasn't like Natalia was his or anything.

She turned then, her back pressed against the guy's chest, and now she was facing Nick. She grinned (a little evilly, Nick may add), and began to mouth the words towards him. 'Oh baby, don't you wanna....dance up on me....to another time and place? Oh baby..don't you wanna..dance up on me...leavin' behind my name and age.. ' Her hips moving just a little more seductively. Nick swallowed the lump that formed in his throat and AJ grinned, "Damn Nicky..I think she wants you."

Nick shook his head and cleared his throat, "No..she's doing it just because I MADE her come."

AJ just shook his head, "If you say so, man. I'd go get her though before that guy's hands wander any further south."

Nick's head turned so sharply AJ was about to ask him if he got whiplash, but he refrained. Nick's eyes narrowed, "Okay, does he NOT know where to put his hands?"

"Quite the contrary Nicky, I think he knows exactly where he's puttin' his hands..Natalia's gorgeous dude."

"I know that AJ."

"Okay, okay."

Natalia smiled as Brad let go of her. He grinned, "You are an awesome dancer."

"Thanks..so are you."

"I'm goin' to go get a drink, want anything?"

"Oh no, thanks. I gotta get back to my friends..thanks though."

"Not a problem, it was a pleasure meeting you Natalia."

"You too."

Natalia walked back over to the table where Nick and AJ were. AJ grinned, "Day-um girl! Where in the hell did you get those hips?!"

She blushed a little as she sat down, "Shut up AJ."

He laughed, "I'm just jokin' with you."

"I know you are..."

"Did you enjoy your dance?," Nick asked.

"I sure did. Did you enjoy it?"

AJ laughed, "He enjoyed it alright.."

"AJ, shut up."

AJ put his hands up in front of him, "Okay, okay. I know that's my cue..see y'all in a few.," and he slid out of his seat and walked towards the dance floor.

Natalia smiled, "I told you you'd pay Nick."

He groaned, "I know, I know..I deserved that..."

"I know you did."

"You did look great out there.."

"Thanks...I'm not usually...that sexual...you know? But I think I just had to prove a point."

He smiled, "You did, Nat. Believe me, you did."

"Good."

He stood up, taking her hand, "Now, you gotta dance with me."

He pulled her towards the dance floor. She smiled as he turned to face her, his hands coming to rest on her hips.

She was driving him absolutely crazy! The way her body moved with his was beginning to slowly but surely drive him into oblivion. And it wasn't from any drink he had had.

Natalia caught Michelle's eye from about ten feet away. If looks could kill then Natalia would probably be six feet under at that time. Nick felt her tense and pulled back, "What's wrong?"

Natalia averted her eyes, "Nothing."

The song changed to a slow one and Natalia settled back into Nick's arms. He leaned down so she could hear him better, "What's wrong Nat?"

She sighed, "Michelle's glaring at me."

"So?"

"So..the girl hates me. She's told everyone else what a bitch I am."

"And since when have you cared what other people thought of you?"

She smiled slightly, but it disappeared just as quickly, "It's different..I'm away from home and any friends I do have...I'm supposed to be making tons and tons of new friends and so far, I think I can only count you five guys as my friends."

"Well..Kevin's wife, Kristen, is coming in tomorrow..she's real cool..maybe you two can like..do something. And LeighAnne, Brian's wife, is coming in like two days...there's two more. They're real cool.."

Natalia shrugged, "But why would Michelle be glaring at me now?"

"Because you're dancing with me."

"Huh?"

Nick smiled a tad, "Michelle has made it known, since about last week, that she likes me..ALOT. I don't think she likes the fact you're here with me."

"She's jealous of..me? HA!"

"Ow! That was my ear!"

Natalia smiled, "Sorry..I'm sorry Nick."

"It's okay."

"I just don't see why anyone would be jealous...of..well..me."

He smiled, looking down at her, "You really have no clue how good you look, do you?"

She looked confused, "Umm..no?"

"Natalia, I think every guy in this place would like to be me right now.."

"Yea because you're a huge star."

"No, because I'm dancing with a fine-ass woman who not only looks like a damn goddess but dances great."

"I do not look like a goddess!"

"Nat..you're beautiful. Most girls would kill for looks like yours."

She blushed, "I can't believe you're telling me this.."

"Me neither, frankly. But, you don't seem to think too highly of yourself..unless you're on stage or in front of a crowd dancing..that's when I see the confidence.."

"That's cause I'm confident in my dancing."

"Well you should be about yourself too."

"Okay..okay..I get it. Thank you..I don't see what you're talkin' about Nick..but thank you."

He smiled, pulling her closer, "So..do I get to say your my date for this lovely evening?"

"Why? So you can piss Michelle off even more?"

"Yep..I plan on talking allllll about you tomorrow at rehearsal in front of her, so she can hear, just so she'll get pissed off."

Natalia shrugged and put her arms around his neck, "Sure, I'll be your date."

Nick walked Natalia up to her room. She unlocked the door, "Wanna come in for a few?"

"Sure..you're not tired?"

"Not really..I'm never ready to go to bed after I've been out..we'll find a movie or something."

"Alright.."

Nick sat in one of the chairs and Natalia threw him the remote, "Find something while I put on my pj's."

"K."

Natalia went into the bathroom and emerged a few minutes later, her hair pulled up into a ponytail, all the make-up off, and in a t-shirt and pajama pants.

She lied down so her head was at the end of the bed and her feet were at the top. Nick smiled, "Comfy?"

"Much now that I'm out of those damn pants."

"You did look good in them though.."

"Thanks..."

Nick nodded and undid his shoes, throwing him towards the door. "Are you comfy Nick?"

"Now I am."

"Good."

The tv was flipped through a couple of times before they both agreed nothing was on. Nick turned it off and they decided to just talk for awhile. "So Nick, how come you don't have a girlfriend?"

He shrugged, "I dunno..I just really don't have time...me and my ex broke up back in March and it was pretty ugly.."

"That one chick who like tries to sing? Willa?"

Nick nodded, "Yea..her. But it was pretty ugly..we fought ALL the time. Alot of the time she would be back at home while we were on tour and she'd hear things about what girl I was supposedly dating and she'd go off on me about it..it got old. So, she moved out and we broke up."

"Ohhh.."

"We still talk occasionally...but I think, if anything, we're better off just being friends.."

"That's good you all still talk.."

"Yea I guess..how come you don't have a boyfriend back home?"

"You try growing up in New York City with your dad being a big investor dude and two big, bad older brothers and see how many guys stick around after meeting them."

"Oh."

She smiled, "They're not that bad. But, if one brother doesn't like the guy, the other won't either and they'll just subtly insult him till he figures me and him aren't meant to be and he'll break up with me..or say it's not going to work out, we should just be friends. And plus, I just haven't found the right guy to date right now...and I don't exactly have that much time either."

"That's true..."

The two of them talked for about two hours before Nick noticed Natalia was close to falling asleep. She walked him to the door, "I had a really nice time tonight Nick..thanks for making me go."

He hugged her, "You're welcome, and I'm glad you had fun. Next after-party, wanna come with me?"

"Sure."

"And....can I ask you another question?"

"Sure..," She said.

He stepped closer and his eyes shut for a second, it was now or never. "Can I kiss you Nat?"

"I think I'd like that alot Nick."
