After calling everyone, AJ and Taylor left. No one else had wanted to come so they set out alone. AJ grabbed her hand as they walked down the street looking at all the casinos, stores, and stuff like that. It was a pretty warm night, the sun was just beginning to set. "Wanna go gamble?," AJ asked.
"Not really. But I guess I can watch you lose some money..," Taylor replied smiling.
"Funny."
"I thought it was."
"Let's walk back towards the hotel and go to the casino there.."
"Okay."
They walked back to the hotel and into the casino. Taylor got a coke and AJ got a water, then they walked to the blackjack table. AJ let Taylor sit and he stood behind her watching her play, even though she relunctantly decided to. "Okay..should I stay or hit?," She asked quietly so the other player wouldn't hear her.
AJ contemplated, she had twelve total. "Hit.," He said in her ear.
She looked at the guy running the table and told him to hit her. She got a three of hearts. "I'll stay.," She said putting down her cards.
The other player lost, he only had thirteen. Taylor took her chips and left that table. AJ dragged her over to the poker table, swearing her could win. Which..he did for awhile. Then, he started to lose.
It was around 11 p.m. and Taylor was getting tired. "Come on AJ..you've lost like a billion times..lets go get some sleep. You all have a show tomorrow night.."
AJ looked at his cards and smiled, "I can win this one Taylor. Full House."
"Then can we go?"
"Yep."
"Okay.."
AJ won that round and gathered his chips. He left Taylor to go cash them in. Taylor paid for their drinks at the bar and met AJ by the elevators. "How much?," She asked.
"Fifty bucks. Not bad if I say so myself.," AJ said smiling.
"Yes..you're such the gambler.," Taylor said jokingly.
AJ laughed, "I was doing sooo bad there for awhile."
"I know!"
He laughed again and they got on the elevator. Taylor sighed and leaned against the wall of the elevator. "So..what is up for tomorrow?," She asked.
"Well..we have a radio interview at nine, sound check and rehearsal at 2...then the show at 7..."
"Good...I can get some shopping in.," She said with a smile.
"Gonna get me anything?," He asked pulling her to him.
She laughed and put her arms around his neck, "We'll see."
He smiled and then kissed her softly. "I love you."
"I love you too..but I'm tired.," She said before yawning.
"My poor little one.," He said quietly while running his hand through her hair.
She smiled, "You have always called me that.."
"I know.."
The elevator stopped and the doors slid open. They walked down the hallway to their room and AJ unlocked the door. Taylor grabbed a t-shirt and boxers from her suitcase and went into the bathroom to change. AJ slipped off his pants and shirt and jumped on the bed to watch tv. He was wearing silk boxers and a wifebeater to sleep in. Taylor walked out, pulling her hair up. She climbed in the bed next to him and leaned against the pillows. "Tomorrow night after the concert, wanna go to a club?," He asked.
"Sure.."
"Cool."
"What are you watching anyways?"
"I dunno..it was on, looked interesting so I left it there."
"Ohh..well I'm gonna go to sleep..okay?"
"Alright baby. You do whatever you want.," He said smiling.
"Well I'm glad to have your permission.," She said crawling under the covers.
He smiled and kissed her gently. "Sleep tight."
"You too. Wake me up before you leave."
"I will."
Taylor rolled over and closed her eyes and before she knew it, was asleep.
AJ watched her for awhile, just watching her sleep. He smiled, knowing he wouldn't screw up this time..it was too right.
