Taylor woke up..in an unfamilar room..with an unfamilar smell..and unfamilar look. She let her eyes adjust before looking around. Jana was sitting in the corner or the almost all white room looking out the window. Thats when Taylor realized it..she was in a hospital. But why?
"Jana?," She said quietly.
Jana jumped at her voice. "Girl, you almost gave me a heart attack! Are you okay?"
"Yeah..whats going on?"
"I found you early this morning unconscious on the living room floor..you were bleeding everywhere..I brought you here as fast as I could."
She sat up more, slowly piecing together what happened. "Where's..Mark?"
"Police arrested him. I called AJ awhile ago..he should be here soon."
Taylor nodded, "Wait a minute..they arrested Mark!?"
"Yes."
"Oh."
Jana smiled sympathetically and looked down. Taylor moved her hand to her stomach..something wasn't right. "Jana? What did the doctor's say?"
"You miscarried..I'm sorry Taylor."
"Are...are you sure?"
"You'll have to ask them. Thats what they told me. I was so scared about what had happened. I'm so sorry.."
"I..I can't believe it..I..I told AJ that I could take care of everything..I killed my baby!," She exclaimed bursting into tears.
Jana didn't know what else to do so she hugged her. Out of the corner of her eye she saw AJ enter. He looked like he hadn't slept for years or something.
When AJ entered and saw Jana hugging Taylor, he knew that she had lost the baby. His heart sunk just the thought of it. He walked in further and set his stuff down. Jana pulled away and asked Taylor if she was okay or if she needed anything. Taylor shook her head no and Jana had to leave for her other job. AJ walked over to the bed and sat down. "Are you okay?," He asked taking her hand.
"I killed it..," She whispered.
"Baby, you didn't know he'd beat the hell outta you. It wasn't your fault..it was his."
"But..but..AJ, I should of been more careful.."
"Shh..baby..it's okay..," He said hugging her.
"I'm so glad you're here AJ.," She said against his shoulder.
"Me too..me too.."
Once she had calmed down a little, AJ pulled away. "They arrested him.."
"I know..Jana told me."
"You..hate me..don't you?"
"Why would I hate you?"
"Because...I should of listened to you but I didn't.."
"No..I don't hate you Taylor."
"What am I gonna do now?"
"You're going to live with me..thats what.."
"I can't do that AJ..I can't impose on you.."
AJ smiled, "You're always thinking of others before yourself. I want you to be with me Taylor. I love you.."
"You..want..me?"
"Yea baby..I wanted to punch Mark that night..for the things he said..and did..I love you Taylor..more than any other person I've ever been with.."
"You've always been there for me.."
"And you've always been there for me. You always find a way to make sure I don't make a too big a fool of myself.."
She smiled, "I guess.."
"So..will you live with me?"
She nodded slowly, "Sure.."
"Good..can we..maybe try 'us' again?"
"I'd like that AJ..," She said smiling.
"Me too..," He said kissing her forehead.
Taylor sighed, "I can't believe I lost the baby.."
"Me neither..but..were you sure you wanted the baby?"
"After I got used to the idea..yes. But not in that house..not with a father like that.."
"I understand. I think you would of been a good mother.."
She laughed a little, "Yea right!"
"You would of! Someday you'll make some man a very happy one.."
She leaned forward and brushed her hand against his face and smiled, "Maybe he'll be you.."
"You think?"
"I dunno..I bet I look like hell..don't I?"
"No..you look beautiful.."
"AJ..I have bruises all over me!"
"So? I see you for who you are..not what you look like. Although..you have one hell of a body girlie..," He teased.
She smiled, so much that her eyes lit up like light bulbs. "I do not!"
"You do too.."
"Well you're not so bad yourself Mr.McLean.."
"Good.."
"What time did Jana call you? You look like you could use a bunch of coffee.."
"It was..about 4 a.m. or so..I had a meeting at 6 that I couldn't miss or I would of been here when you woke up.."
"Well..you're here now and thats all that matters.."
"True. I told the guys what was going on and they promised to come over sometime today. I also called JC..I thought he had a right to know what happened.."
Taylor nodded, "Thank you."
"You're welcome.."
Taylor leaned back and rubbed her shoulder, "I hurt all over.."
"Turn around.."
"Why?"
"Turn with your back towards me..I wanna give you a massage.."
"K."
She did so and leaned back against him. AJ had always given the most amazing massages ever. He rubbed her shoulder gently until she loosened up more. AJ smiled, this was how it should be..them two together..not with anyone else. Forever.
