The big day was finally here. Saturday. When AJ's and Taylor's singleness would be no more and they would be considered 'one'. The night before the guys had taken AJ out to a couple of clubs, as well as a strip club. The girls took Taylor to a hotel, where they stayed, and had a big sleepover, complete with truth or dare.
Everyone of course worried about the weather, earlier in the week it was supposed to rain but now that it was actually Sat. it was sunny and warm, perfect for the wedding.
Taylor was getting dressed in one of the bedrooms of the house where the wedding was being held(in the garden). She already had the dress on and was sitting at the vanity getting her hair done by Jana and Marie. The bridesmaids were all dressed and were in the room with Taylor, who was getting more nervous by the second. "Are you guys nervous?," Taylor asked looking in the mirror.
"Not really..should we be?," Alicia asked.
"I don't know. I feel like I'm gonna throw up any minute!"
Jana shook her head, "You throw up and I'll hit you for messing up your hair and make-up."
Marie laughed, "Yeah..you don't want AJ to see you all pale and ratty-looking!"
Taylor couldn't help but laugh. "I'm so glad you all are here. My mom would be telling me how fat I look and how I'm making the biggest mistake of my life.."
"Do you think you are?"
"No. This couldn't be more right."
Jane wiped away a fake tear, "Thats was so..deep!"
The girls laughed. Just then, there was a knock on the door. "It better not be AJ!," Alicia whispered as she went to the door.
"Who is it?"
"Tony."
"What do you want?"
"I was told to come tell you all to be ready in 15."
"Okay..we'll be down in a few."
"K."
Marie and Jana finished Taylor's hair. They left it down and curled it, but little flowers were spread throughout her hair. "We'll leave you to gather your thoughts.," Jana said.
"Thanks you guys..for everything.," Taylor said turning around.
They all smiled. Marie spoke for them, "Its not problem. You better be out in a few minutes or AJ'll come lookin' for you."
She nodded, "I will."
They left then. Taylor stood up and looked in the full-length mirror by the vanity. The dress fit her perfectly and her hair was perfect. Her bouquet was sitting on the bed, it was pink and white lilies picked straight from the garden where the ceremony would take place. Just then, she heard something bouncing off the window. She looked behind her and saw little rocks bouncing off the window. She walked over and opened the window and looked out carefully. There was Nick and AJ, throwing pebbles at the window. "What are you two doing?!"
"What are you doing?"
"Trying to calm myself down..you can't see me before the thing AJ!"
AJ shrugged, "I couldn't help myself..we've been apart for like a whole day!"
"I know..Nick, what are you doing?"
"Keeping an eye out for any one else.."
"You two are so weird! AJ, remind me why I'm marrying you?"
"Because you love me forever and ever and ever!," He exclaimed.
She started to laugh, "I guess so..I must be crazy though."
"HEY! Thats an insult!"
"No its not..you guys better get going..I'm getting ready to go out.."
They nodded. "See you in a few baby.," AJ said.
"Okay."
Nick hung back and looked up at the window. "You nervous?"
She nodded, "A little..how you holding up?"
"I'm alright. All I have to do is stand there and look like a dork."
"Like always, huh?"
"Not funny."
"I thought it was. I better get going..see you in a few Nicky.."
"Alright.."
She closed the window and looked at the mirror. "You can do this..you're just nervous..," She said to her reflection.
She smiled to herself and grabbed the bouquet off the bed. She opened the door and saw Tony standing in the hallway, waiting for her. "Hey..," She said.
"Hey...you look great Taylor! You ready?"
She nodded, "As ready as I'll ever be."
He smiled, "Come on little sister. Let's go get you married."
She laughed a little and walked with him to the staircase.
AJ took his place next to Father Christofe who was presiding over the ceremony. Beside him were Howie, Brian, Nick, and Kevin. He couldn't help but fiddle with the silver rings on his fingers, he was nervous! He looked out at the 'audience' of his family and other friends. His mom looked as if she would burst out crying any moment! His dad was trying not to! Fatima was there with her boyfriend, Josh, and she was trying not to cry also. He looked up as the wedding march started. The back doors opened and everyone turned around to look as they stood up. Tony led Taylor down the steps and slowly down the aisle behind the bridesmaids. AJ smiled when he saw Taylor, the guys were right, she looked amazing. She met his eyes and smiled slightly at him, he smiled back too. Her brother smiled, kissed her cheek, and then took his seat next to Ryan and his mother.
AJ took Taylor's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "We are gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony...," Father Christofe began.
Practically the only part either AJ or Taylor heard was when the Father said the vows. "Do you, Alexander James Mclean, take this woman, Taylor Elizabeth Jenkins, to be you lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live, till death do you part?"
AJ looked up at the Father and stated clearly, "I do."
The Father nodded and turned to Taylor, "Do you, Taylor Elizabeth Jenkins take this man, Alexander James McLean, as your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live, till death do you part?"
Taylor smiled, "I do."
AJ let out a breath he hadn't known he had been holding in He smiled at her and squeezed her hand once more. "Now, can I have the rings please?"
Jana handed the Father one ring, and Howie gave the Father the other. He gave one to AJ, who held it in his palm. "Repeat after me. With this ring.."
"With this ring.."
"I thee wed."
"I thee wed.," He said as he slid the ring onto Taylor's left hand.
He handed Taylor the other ring. "Repeat after me. With this ring.."
"With this ring.."
"I thee wed."
She smiled, "I thee wed.," And slid it onto his right hand.
"By the power invested in me by the state of Florida and by the will of God, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
AJ grinned and kissed Taylor. Everyone started to clap and cheer, most loud were the guys and girls. Then, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen walked back down the aisle and into waiting cars that would take them to where the reception was being help. Last, were the bride and groom.
Taylor slid into the limo and let out a sigh of relief, the hardest part was over! AJ got in and did the same. He reached over and kissed her again. "Now, you're all mine!"
She laughed, "I'm soo glad thats over! I was soo nervous!"
"Me too! Now, we get to eat and par-tay!"
She laughed again as the limo made its way to the the reception. "So..when's the flight?"
He looked at his watch, "Six o'clock. Five hours from now."
She nodded, "Cool..I want to hurry and change!"
"Into what?"
"The dress I'm wearing on the plane."
"Ohh yeah."
Pretty soon, they arrived at the reception hall. They walked in hand-in-hand and took their seats at the head of the long table. Brian, with a goofy smile, got up and took the microphone from the band that was set up. "Okay..I think everyone's here..and if they're not, Oh well! I just want to say, congratulations to AJ and Taylor, you two were made for each other and I think it took too long for you all to realize it! Anyways, I wish the best for you all."
He stepped down, and the rest of the guys made similar remarks. AJ pulled Taylor out on the dance floor for their first dance. She was soon passed off to Brian, Howie, Kevin, and finally Nick. "Ya know..I'm gettin' tired Nicky!," She laughed.
He laughed too, "Oh well! You must dance with me!"
"I know..but after this I'm sitting down!"
"Okay. So, you glad its over?"
"The ceremony part, yeah!"
"You didn't look nervous. I thought AJ was going to have a heart attack, then we thought of the idea to throw pebbles at the window."
She smiled, "Awww..how cute!"
"I'm really happy for you guys Taylor.."
"Thanks Nicky..I've never been this happy..in a loong time."
"You deserve it."
"Aww..you're getting so sentimental Nicky!," She said hugging him as the song ended.
He laughed, "Whatever!"
She walked over to where everyone was gathering around the huge wedding cake. She stood next to AJ and held the knife with him. They cut the first peice and managed to get it on the plate without to much mishap. He picked up a little peice and smiled. "AJ..if you get this all over me, you're dead!," She said.
"Come on Taylor..Its wedding tradition..."
"Nope.."
"Come on..I won't do anything..promise."
"For real?"
"For real."
"JUST DO IT!," Someone in the back exclaimed.
He fed her the peice, careful not to get it on her. Then, she did the same.
After more dances, Taylor was told she had to throw the bouquet. She stood up on the stage as all the 'single' women headed out on the floor. She laughed as Alicia and Marie fought for the best possible spots. Jana and Jane stood near the middle of the pact. "That doesn't count! You guys aren't really single!," Taylor exclaimed.
Alicia put her hands on her hips, "We ain't married so hurry up!"
She laughed and turned around. All the guys began to whoop and holler and cheer. Taylor threw the bouquet up and turned around to see who caught it. It landed in a very surprised Angel Carter's hands. "Thats not fair!," Marie exclaimed laughing.
"Yeah it is! She's single!," Taylor said.
Angel began to blush as everyone cheered for her.
Then, the guys had to crowd around AJ and Taylor. A chair was sitting in the middle of the group. Taylor grinned and put her leg up on the chair. AJ got down on his knees and pulled her dress up just enough where you could see the garter. He grinned up at Taylor before leaning down and pulling it off with his teeth. The guys began to cheer as Taylor covered her face and began to laugh. "YEAH! GO AJ! GO AJ!"
He lifted her foot and brought the garter off. Then he turned around and threw it behind him. Taylor stood beside him as the guys fought to caught it. "All that for a little peice of lace and material!," Taylor said in hsi ear.
"I know!"
Suddenly, the garter landed in Nick's hands. He turned about five shades of red. "I think this was rigged!," Brian exclaimed jokingly.
"How do you figure?," Taylor asked.
"Angel caught your bouquet and Nick caught the garter. Both of them are Carter's!"
"And? It was a coincedence."
"Whatever..I still think it was rigged.," He said with a smile.
Nick grinned, "So..I won?"
"Yes Nick..you actually won something.," Kevin said.
"ALRIGHT!"
Taylor excused herself and went into the women's restroom to change into another dress. This one was more casual and was a light blue. She was going to wear it on the plane. AJ went into the men's restroom and change into a black suit.
Soon, they had to leave. After saying goodbye to everyone and getting pelted by birdeseed, they were on their way to the airport. And Hawaii.
