AJ pushed open the french doors that led out to a balcony overlooking a small Italian town and smiled. The air was warm, but not too warm, and it looked as if it was going to be a gorgeous day. He had finally found two weeks he could get off and took Taylor and the twins to Italy. It was a birthday surprise for her and he wanted everything perfect. He looked back into the room to see Taylor still asleep, he saw Christopher pull himself into a standing position and AJ walked back into the room and picked him up. The twins had started talking but most of it was jumbled, but they knew,'momma', 'daddy', 'bear', 'cat', 'dog', 'up', 'down', and they had their own little nicknames for the other guys. He took Chris out on the balcony and sat down. "Up!," Chris said holding his arms up.
AJ sighed and stood up with him and looked over at the scenery. "Isn't that pretty Chris?"
Chris laughed and pointed at a flock of birds flying over head. "Those are birds, can you say birds?"
"Bwirds!"
AJ laughed, "Very good Chris."
Taylor rolled over and opened her eyes, sunlight was pouring into the room and it weas awfully bright. She heard AJ's familiar laugh and sat up. Nicholas was just beginning to wake up, so she got up and brushed out her hair before picking him up and joining AJ and Chris outside. "Momma!," Chris exclaimed.
"Hey baby boy.," She said kissing his forehead.
"Hey baby..you just wake up?," AJ asked turning around.
"Yep..how'd you sleep?," She asked kissing him.
"Very good..you?"
"Like a rock. And how did Nicky sleep?"
Nicholas laughed, "Down!"
Taylor smiled, "Okay..I'm going to take that as a 'good' or something.."
"So, what do you want to do today?," AJ asked as they walked back in the room.
"I don't know.."
"Well..we could go do some shopping..," He said with a hopeful look on his face.
"Fine AJ..we'll go shop. I know you need some clothes and other junk to mess up our house."
"Hey!"
She smiled, "Wanna join me in the shower?"
"What about them?"
She scrunched up her face, "Oh yeah..damn..when you have kids you can't enjoy a shower with your husband."
He smiled, "Oh well.."
"You fix them breakfast and I go shower first?," She said.
"Sure. Come here Nicky."
Nicholas held his arms out to AJ and he took him from Taylor. She kissed him gently before trotting back into the main room and gathering clothes and going to the bathroom.
After her shower, Taylor walked out of the bathroom with a towel on her head and saw AJ playing with Nicholas and Chris on the beds. She put on her make-up and fixed her hair and AJ went to go take his shower. "My bear!," Nicholas said holding onto his teddy bear.
"Yes Nicky, thats yours. Where's Chris'?," She asked looking at Chris.
"Momma!"
"Yes Chris, I'm mom. Where's bear at Chris?"
He laughed and reached over to pull it out from under the pillow. Taylor pretended to be surprised, "There it is! You hid it from me!"
Chris laughed, "Hid it!"
She laughed and tickled him. Nicholas laughed and Taylor reached over to tickle him too. AJ walked out from his shower to see Taylor tickling both boys, who were laughing hysterically.
"Wanna get them dressed?," AJ asked.
"Yep..we better."
AJ took Nicholas and Taylor took Chris and they proceded to get both ready for the day.
Later on in the afternoon, Taylor and AJ were out with Chris and Nicholas looking in all the different shops and things. AJ bought both boys a toy to keep them occupied for a little while. Taylor was in a shop looking at jewelry while AJ took the boys to see the ducks that were in a nearby pond. She bought a couple rings and a pair of earrings before going to find them. AJ saw her and smiled, "You buy anything?"
"I bought some rings and a pair of earrings."
"Cool..we were feedin' the ducks."
"Ohhh..cool."
They sat on the bench in front of the strollers and watched as the boys threw peices of bread at the ducks. AJ reached over and intertwined his hand with hers, she looked over and smiled at him. "Whats wrong?," She asked.
"Nothin'..just holding your hand..why, is that a problem?"
She grinned, "No..just wondering.."
"I mean, can't a guy hold his wife's hand without being asked?"
She laughed, "No, AJ.."
He grinned and leaned over to kiss her. "Want to head back?"
"Yeah..they need a nap."
He nodded and got up. He took Chris' stroller and Taylor took Nicholas' and they started back towards the hotel. When they got back in the room, Taylor went into the smaller bedroom to put the twins' to bed. AJ went to check his messages. Taylor came out on the last message and sat down as AJ jotted down Brian's number in Kentucky where he was visiting. "You want something to drink?," She asked.
"Umm..sure.."
"K."
She got up and walked towards the kitchen area when she suddenly felt very dizzy. She grabbed onto the door frame to steady herself. "Taylor? You okay?," AJ asked.
"I just got..real dizzy all of a sudden.."
He got up and put his arm around her waist to steady her. "You okay now?"
"Yeah..I think.."
"Go back in the bedroom and lay down..I'll bring you something to drink.."
She nodded, "okay."
She walked back to the bed and layed down, she had no idea why all of a sudden she was getting dizzy..there was no reason why she should of been. AJ came in a second later with a glass of water and a coke for himself. "Here you go.."
She sat up and leaned against the headboard, "Thank you."
"Not a problem..you feel okay now?"
She nodded, took a drink and then set the glass on the nighttable. "Maybe it was from the heat..I don't know.."
"Okay..wanna take a nap?"
She smiled, "If you lay down with me.."
"Alright.," He said smiling.
AJ crawled onto the other side of her and put his arm over her waist and pulled her closer. "You smell good.," He murmured.
"Huh?"
"You smell good.."
"Oh..thanks..you're one odd guy AJ."
He laughed, "I know.."
"But, thats what appeals to me..I think."
"You think?," He asked raising up on his elbow and raising his eyebrows.
She grinned, "Yep..I think.."
"Well..how can we make that sure thing?"
"Hmm..don't know."
He kissed her forehead, "I love you."
"Love you too..let's take a nap now.."
"Sounds good to me..I miss taking naps."
"Mm hm.."
He pulled her hair away from her face and leaned back before closing his eyes.
