Hi. My name is Chris Campbell. I am from a small town in Eatern Kentucky called Hindman. It is a nice place but there is not a lot to do. I am 16 years old and I love to play sports. I play baseball and football for Knott County Central. I hope to play baseball in college. As you can see, this is my first site I have made and it needs a lot of work. It is under construction right now. I don't no how you got here, but I am glad you did.
My favorite baseball team, as you can see, is the Baltimore Orioles. I used to love the reds until they traded my favorite player, Eric Davis. Now he plays on the Orioles with the greatest shortstop of all time, Cal Ripkin Jr. I play shortstop as well and admire all aspects of his game, especially his desire to play.
As some people believe Kentucky basketball is declining(give me a break the Cats are 20-2), the football team is definitaly rising to the stop. With the signing of The National Defensive Player of The Year from Harrodsburg and many great incoming players, Hal Mumme has led his Wildcats to a top 20 spot in this year's recruiting.
As you can tell, I am a big Kentucky fan. The combination of Tim Couch and Hal Mumme has put life into the UK football team. Mumme's unique style offense has excited fans and made UK football competitive.
After the national championship in 1996 and a runner-up trophy in 1997, the Cats basketball squad are not quite as deep or as talented as the past 2 teams, but are competing again for another national championship. Behind point guard Wayne Turner's leadership, the Cats have lost only two games this year. With the experience of Jeff Sheppard, Scott Padgett, Allen Edwards, Cameron Mills, and the big man in the middle Nazr Muhammad, the Cats are undefeated in the SEC with the win against Tennesse. Newcomers Heshimu Evans and Saul Smith have played well. Look out for Myron Anthony and Bradley at tournament time!
