Hello fellow trappers, my name is Steve. I am 15 years old. I hunt/fish/trap in the state of Kansas. I trap for the joy of the sport, even though I make a little cash on the side I do it  for sport. Trapping is one of the greatest sports of all time and to preserve our right to trap, you need to join your states trappers association, and if willing the national trappers association. I mainly for beaver and raccoon. This is my second season trapping. I am also a licensed Animal Damage Control trapper. I think trapping is one of the best sports in the world and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I use snares, leg-holds, conibears, and cage traps. I have most of my success with foot hold traps. You should try all of the types of traps and use the one that works the best for you ( first make sure it is legal for you to use the type of traps you want to get, before you get something or use something that is illegal in your area.) When you catch some furbearers or coyotes, feel free to email them to me so I can post them on the Bragging Page. Also if you have a good day on the line and write an story on it, must be true and reasonable, please email it to me and I will add it to the story page. Good Luck and Tight Chains

Thanks,

Steve

This season (2001-2002) was my first season to use footholds and conibear traps. My first season (2000-2001) all I had was snares and I caught a skunk on the neck, and an opossum. This year I did quite well, at least in my mind. I ended up with 8 raccoons! These were what I targeted, and yes I lost a lot more than I should have, a few to pull outs but mainly I just had snapped traps. I caught also 11 opossums, 3 skunks, 2 ferals. I sure learned a lot this year, and must of my success came from trapperman.com. This is one of the, if not the greatest trapping sites online. The people there are the best around and it is worth your time to check it out. They can help you with any problems you have.

My ADC work has started coming on lol, great way to trap throughout the year lol. My neighbor had one move in under his porch and a 220 took care of that right away, plus $20 to boot. Then he had one grubbing in his front yard about 1 month later, and again a 220 took it, but this time at the culvert. Enjoying this.
