ETERNAL LOVE
In silence
we await the peace
with nothing to be said.
The one
who brought us into life,
is soon to join the dead.
Thoughts of what
we could have,
should have,
all the things
we might have done.
The guilt and shame
for letting down
that oh so precious
faithful one.
So now we'll stand here
all alone,
the babe's inherent fear,
her hand won't guide us
no soft smile
her love no longer here.
I only pray
she'll be there watching
somewhere up above
waiting patiently
for us to join her
to share
" Eternal Love".
