"Roadrunners" was awesome! The teaser caught me from the beginning! This was a classic X-File… and a case. Although I have to wonder why Scully did it alone… I wouldn't have.
I liked the whole episode… dark and spooky… although I didn't care much for Scully screaming she was going to have a baby… but as my mom said to my dad 'you would be screaming you were having a baby too"… anything to try to stop them.
What I loved the most about his episode was how the people wouldn't let her leave… water in the gas tank (don't I know what that's like! Ugh!), no phones… you would think she would go back to the phone booth and call Doggett or something!
There was one part that I can't comment on because my local FOX network thought it was important to interrupt the show so we could hear Bush talk about the differences he and Gore had… like I really care!
I was pissed… anyways… The fourth act was my very favorite… full of action and suspense! I was actually panicked for Scully… in a way… considering she hasn't been my favorite since "Requiem" aired… but I like her with Doggett. My favorite part is when Doggett saves Scully and punches the gas station man! Whoohoo! Go Doggett! Then he carries Scully out of the room… and the psycho people start to come after them… he tries to hot wire the bus, but the thing in Scully starts to head to her brain!! Doggett cuts it out of her neck (OUCH!) and rips the thing out of her… and then he shoots it. How Scully could live through that pain is beyond me! LOL The cops show up and Doggett carries Scully off to safety… the last scene is in the hospital. Scully tells Doggett that she is sorry she didn't involve him in the case… and that is was a mistake… an almost fatal mistake. Then they leave and Doggett carries Scully's bag.
I give "Roadrunners" a 3.8 out of 5… which is good… but I really didn't like Scully screaming the whole baby thing over and over. But I still liked this episode very much… and I can't wait to see the part that I missed because of the stupid network! Anyways… this was a very cool episode… Go Vince Gilligan!
