Well heck here I go again, another attempt to re-create the web sites I had on Go.com that was deleted when Disney bought them out. That was 13 web sites, 2000+ hours of html coding. Like a dummy I didnt save a copy to my pc as I thought Go.com would be around forever. HA HA HA... this time i will save double...lol These site are being created for you. Please enjoy your tour of my life, my likes and dislikes, my photo albums my humor pages, my Kansas pages and whatever pages I may create in the future.. :)Without your support this would not be possible.

I have lived in many wonderful places in this great nation.. These places include: Houston, TX, Sacramento, CA, Kansas City, KS and MO, Hoisington, KS, Olmitz, KS, Salina, KS, Lawton, OK, Albuquerque, NM, Phoenix, AR, Wichita, KS, Great Bend, KS, Hoisington, KS and a few more temporary stays in some small towns.
I was in the U.S. ARMY from 1970 thru 1973. My job started out as a Light Vehicle Driver (64A10) and thru Viet Nam got me promoted to a Truckmaster (64C40) and the acting rank of E-6). Those travels took me to Ft. Riley, KS, Ft. Lewis, WA,Ft. Sill, OK, Ft Leanordwood, MO, Ft Ord, CA, Ft Chaffee, AR, PHU BAI, Viet Nam (Charang Valley) with the 27th Transportation Batallion (1971-1972) and another post or two that I processed thru.
After leaving the military I returned to Great Bend, Ks where I went back to work in the oil fields as a roughneck,roustabout, floorhand and truck driver. In 1977 I decided that the oil fields was not for me , due to back injuries and much drug and alcohol use. This is when I went to treatment at VALLEY HOPE, Norton, KS. (BTW I have been straight and sober since March 1977)At this time I went back to college at BARTON COUNTY COMMUNITY JUNIOR COLLEGE in Great Bend. After 2 long years I graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Arts/ Engineering Technology.. Oh in between the Army and college I got married (July 5,1975)..
This brings me to the present! I am still married to the same woman. I have 3 children of which 2 are moved out on their own and one still lives at home. My son Allen Keith has a masters degree in Architectural/Engineering from Kansas State University, Manhattan, lives and works in Springfield, MO. His wife, Michelle has a Masters Degree in Administrative Education which she also got at K-State.They have adorable twin girls, Isabella Mae and Grace Lauren born Oct 24,2001 and Lilly Kate born May 2005. My oldest daughter Crystal lives in Salina, Ks. She works for a local hosptial as a CNA. She has provided me with a wonderful Grandson, Clayten Allen who is now 4 years old and another grandaughter, Emma Gayle, born March 31, 2004. My youngest Jennifer in 17 going on 37 She is a Senior at Solomon, Ks. before I know it she will be grown and away to cosmetology school.
My hobbies include many forms of arts and crafts, vegetable and flower gardening, landscaping, photography, fishing, auctions, flea markets, garage sales and YAHOO CHAT PARTIES in Kansas. At this time my home business, WINGED FRIENDS COTTAGES at The Painted Gourd, produces many wonderful arts and crafts which most of the time I end up giving away to friends and family. The latest passion is gourds. I purvhase all my gourds from Donna, a very wonderful friend, in Alabama. She pics the biggest and most unique ones from her friends gourd farm, BARNE'S GOURD FARM, Hartford, Alabama.
I have recently created an Angelfire Photo Album web site with photos of sunsets, sunrises, thunderstorms and clouds for your viewing pleasure. p>
I am a collector of many items such as: old tools (carpentry and mechanical), fine art, unusual art, fantasy art, coins, bottles, jars, insulators, drafting instruments, rifles and pistols, vases, clocks, household hardware such as door knobs, windows, doors, latches, etc), business cards, fasteners, guages, maps, books, photographs, picture frames, coffe cups, pottery, gas & electric lamps, light fixtures and shades, license plates and the list goes on and on..I am starting to wonder if there is anything I do not collect..haha
I love to collect and grow Iris, Squash, Gourds, Herbs, Wildflowers, Trees, Berries, Hostas, Ferns, Lilies, Ornamental Grasses, Wild Grasses, Sunflowers, Winter Onions, Garlic and this list goes on and on..
I vacation in Branson, MO, Houston & Galveston, TX, Kansas City, MO, Leavenworth, KS and the beautiful surrounding lakes here in Central Kansas.. Those lakes include Bennington, Milford, Glen Elder, Kanpolis and Wyandotte, Lake McClellan, TX near Pampa and Taneycomo in Branson.
My favorite foods are: Chinese, Vienamese, Mexican, Italian, Geman and of course the good old American meat and potatoes. I have written a cook book called "MRD'S SQUASH AND PASTA COOKBOOK (with a touch of italian". It has all of my made up and tested recipies along with recipies from around the world. It is available by emailing me. I will put samples of the recipies and a photo of the cover on my WINGED FRIENDS COTTAGE page when I get it developed in the near future.
I like most kinds of music.. My favorites include Jewell, Garth, Striesand, Gill, Raye, Wariner, Phillips, just to name a few. I have this insatiable desire to collect what I call fantasy art. There are alot of wonderful artists on the net that offer free art. Another passion I have is history and geneology.. I have located the old farmstead and log cabin that my Grandfather and his 13 brothers and sisters was born in when his Mother and Father went from the east to what is now known as Lebanon, MO, in a covered wagon. I have traced my hertiage on my Mothers, Mothers side back to Mary Queen of Scots.. I know nothing on my fathers side at this time. It seems there is a black hole or closet of skeletins stopping me on that one.
My goal in life is to make and meet as many friends as possible before the Good Lord takes me from this
blessed life and to have at least one photo in my upcoming Friends Photos Site of someone from every country in the world and every state in the USA. I know it is a huge unrealistic goal but it is something I feel I have to do. By running Netmeeting, ICQ and YAHOO Messenger I feel I might have a slight chance of reaching this dream.. Will you please help me with this worthwhile dream by sending me your clean photos and referring people to me that you know? Is this not a way to help promote World Unity, Peace and Love thru Communication? Oh and yes I do have a mic and web cam..Afterall, it has been said that I have never met a stranger. I think that may be true as I do have a tendency to talk to anyone, anywhere and anytime. The greatest gift of all is friendship. Thru friendship we give of ourselves without without boundaries and expectations, we share lifes gifts and blessings, and we open our hearts and souls to love..
NO MAN IS A ISLAND AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE ABILITY SHARE THE LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP FROM OUR HEARTS AND SOULS WITH OTHERS..
