This is a good place to explain the different colored flags. The red flags mark the location of the bones that have been uncovered. The pink flags mark the corners of one meter squares that have been assigned to the site. Each square is given an identifier number--such as A1 and B1.

This photo shows one of the "floaters", bones that are not associated with another nearby bone. This one was left on a pedestal of dirt to be removed after the site is mapped.
