This is a view of the site on June 22, 2001. This was my first day at the dig. The view is looking towards the northwest. The Campbell High School is shown at right.

Site paleontologist, George Corner is removing some of the matrix. The major portion of the overburden was removed by large construction machinery. This machinery was used until the depth of the bone producing layer was reached.
