Taken from my X-Files website: The End of the Road
So, you have decided to read about the creator of this site have you? You probably are wondering if I'm a 'Shipper, Fencer, or a Noromo. You mean to tell me that you haven't guest by now?? Well, it's obvious that I'm a Noromo. Given the fact that this site isn't based on the "MSR", and that it is based on The X-Files, stories, writers, characters, yadda yadda yadda. So maybe now, you would like to know why I'm a Noromo. Well, read on.
I started out as a very hard core 'Shipper when I first started watching on October 11, 1998 while viewing "Fight The Future" for the very first time. I was also 'brain washed' by my friend who is also a very hard core 'Shipper. I would just die while watching episodes like Detour, The Post-Modern Prometheous, Triangle, Rain King, and yes, even Arcadia. I was all about the "MSR" of the show. Eventually (Biogenesis Hiatus of 1999) I realized that there is more to the show then a relationship. I was a Fencer during the 1999 Hiatus. As the premire neared, I didn't care what happened... but was edging toward the Noromo side. I must admit, the end of Amor Fati put me in a loop of confusion. I was completely lost as to what to think. Then, I heard they were going to kiss...
As I was watching the episode Millennium, and the end was near... I was terrified for the future of the show. Thoughts like "Oh no.... what if it happens... will the show forever be ruined?" were going through my head. Then it happened... and I cringed in fear. It ruined the episode. I was officially a Noromo then. And very proud at that.
I find being a Noromo is much more fun and entertaining. I think a lot of 'Shippers tend to over look the stories and only concentrate on the "MSR". I love being a Noromo because (for me anyway) it lets me think on my own (instead of being 'brain washed'). You can look deeper into the stories instead of the "MSR".
Why the "MSR" can ruin the show:
1.) If Mulder and Scully did get together, it would go against the FBI.
2.) I've heard some 'Shippers say "Well, if Mulder or Scully quite the FBI/x-files, then they could get together." That statement would make the show change it's name from The X-Files to The Sex-Files.
3.) The stories would be cheep. Take Arcadia for example. Now, I'm not bashing Daniel Arkin's work... I think he is a great writer (Souls On Board from NBC's new series The Others which aired Saturday nights at 9/8c.). In the episode Arcadia, most of it was based on the "MSR". Mr. Arkin went a little overboard with the shippiness of this episode which ruined it. Personally, I think he likes to tease people. He had a good story going on, but it just didn't happen.
4.) Episodes like Millennium, the story was great through out! But the ending was crap. I love Vince Gilligan and Frank Spotnitz, but the kiss wasn't that great. It was filmed very corny, and kind of ruined the whole episode. This kiss proved that if the "MSR" were to ever happen, it would make the show not up to it's great and high standards.

If you have decided to keep reading, ok.
Here is a list of reasons I get more than annoyed with 'Shippers:
1.) They bash writers because 'it's not shippy enough'.
2.) They write letters to Ten-Thirteen Productions begging for a kiss.
3.)They stop watching the show because they aren't getting what they want. (reason why the ratings are low this season)
4.) I have heard some say they are going to write death threats to Ten-Thirteen Productions/Chris Carter.
5.) They flame us when we mention Never Again, and we put up with there crap everyday and respect their opinions. Why can't they do the same for us?
6.) They say that Noromos have no hearts. Then why is it that I think Ed Jerse and Scully were in love???
