Gabriel's SPL Car
My Current System
I am currently between systems. Currently I only have pics of my last system (sniff...sniff). That systems consisted of 4-10" Kicker Solo Barics, powered by a Phoenix Gold MS 2125. I ran the amp at a 2 ohm stereo load, and total output to the subwoofers was 510 watts. I managed to hit a respectable 143.0 dB as a personal best(so far!!) I buillt and installed everything myself.(saved some major $$... and not too bad of a job). To ensure that my car panels do not flex, I applied 2 gallons of Cascade Audio VB2(bucket) in the roof, in addition to 12 sq ft of VB1(matt). Each rear windo has been taken out, and 2 tubes of silicone were used to seal each window. My deck is a Panasonic, and I also have a Pioneer amp for my highs. All interconnect is by Fosgate, including the 0 ga power wire, and my crossover is by MTX.
My New System
Some equipment from the last system will remain. I am keeping the following: Panasonic HU, Pioneer amp and Alpine coax (from old system... but may swap out for my Diamond Audio Motorsports). The new equipment consists of 2-Crossfire CFA-1000D's, and 2-Image Dynamics IDQ 15"s 2 ohm DVCs. The IDs will be in a ported box (3 dB gain). Total power just to the subs alone, (when wired correctly, and proper amount of power to the amps) will be anywhere from 1000-1500 watts PER SUB. I am hoping to get into the low to mid 150's (dB). I have reinforced the rear quarter panels with Dynamat, my rear windows are sealed shut with silicone and the spare tire well has 1 gallon of the CAE VB2, along with some Bondo for additional strength. ( I have ordered more Dynamat and should be getting it this week)
