Every restoration done to the Last Supper has taken a step further away from the original and it has also lost the sense of being Leonardo’s; giving us one more reason why future restoration should stop.

The Last Supper was in a bad state of being, after Pinin Brambilla did her restoration it look a lot brighter and clearer.  There's only one problem with that and that is that to do what she did she had to go and paint over some of the places that needed to be painted over.  Thus making the painting hers, because one can no longer call it Leonardo's work.  It doesn't have the feeling that it was painted by the master himself.

The restoration done to this masterpiece has made a controversy that is worth talking about.  One would agree that there wasn't a restoration done, that Pinin Brambilla remade the painting by painting in her art work.
