Title: I've Never been sleeping in the Night Pairings: 1x2, 3x2, ?x2 Circle/DJka: Trick Star Date Published: 3-31-96 Artwork: Again, the way this dj circle draws Heero and Duo is very nice. Simple but very pretty. Plot: This takes place after Crying Game, when Duo, Heero, and Wufei are captured on the moon base after having failed to take out the scientists and the gundams. This one's more angstier than the others in the series, as if you couldn't tell by the pairings ^_^;; Duo's taken in for questioning by the soldiers who decide to do a more... close and personal body check of Duo. Trowa steps in only to have the soldiers tell him to err.. prove his loyalty. Duo passes out and notices that Trowa has brought him into the infirmary. Duo, being the bright boy he is, notices from the way Trowa acts, etc. that he and Heero have probably slept together in the past. Duo is brought back to the prison where he falls asleep, deliberately avoiding Heero's questioning and ignoring that Heero -was- worried for Duo's saftey. Then, comes the interesting part. When Trowa picks Heero up to test the mobile dolls, Heero finally breaks down and confesses to Bang boy all of the insecurities and inadequecies he feels in dealing with Duo. So, by the end of the book, Heero, feeling he is protecting Duo by leaving him alone, tells Duo that they're broken up, to forget everything about their time together. Duo, understandably, doesn't understand his reasoning, tbc... Opinion: The djka does a wonderful job in going through every single HD moment in the series and expanding it in the dj series. ^^ Reviewed by Reishin BACK
