Title: Angel Duster III Pairings: 1x2 Circle/DJka: Elysion Date Published: 8/16/97 Artwork: Gorgeous! **Absolutely amazing. The boys are both drawn stunningly as young adults, rather than one becoming a shotacon uke character. Plot: One of Duo's acquaintances learns that he is a Gundam pilot. Angsty and some violent spots. **This seems to center on L2 and Duo's past. Keep in mind that Heero is the darkly inked, spiky haired, glowering character, as opposed to the smooth, wide eyed boy in the tank top (he's Duo's friend from L2). Duo has been having dreams/visions about something terrible happening to his friend, and in the end he's right. The boy is shot and bleeds to death in an alley. Duo shows up at Heero's door in the rain, trying to come to terms with the boy's death. They have a touching, surprisingly consensual sex scene, and in the morning, Duo's gone. Duo has left Heero a note, signed 'D'. He hitches a ride with a truck driver, and we're left with the image of Heero almost-smiling as he holds the note. Opinion: I *love* this circle. The Heero and Duo coupling here is one of my favorites, plus I *love* the way Duo is portrayed in this. One of my favorite circles. This is part 3 in a 3 part series, I think. You can see a sample of their work in the example from the "Wings of Freedom" yaoi anthology, also on this site. **I own both Angel Duster 2, and 3 :::sticks tongue out at Reishin::: and they are probably the most beautiful works of 1x2 (a rarity in itself) that I've ever seen.
