Title: Good Communication/ Bad Communication Pairings: 1x2 Circle/DJka: Atsuki H/N Hizui Date Published: 12/96 Artwork: Atsuki's style is fairly clean but sparse on the detail. It is cute at times, but never quite reaches *pretty*, and there are several panels where I wish she would put a bit more expression on the boys. And perhaps cut back on the saliva just a little ^_~;; Hizui is much sketchier in comparison, which I normally don't like, but it really works here. Duo's pretty without being girly, and Hiiro... ::shiver:: Plot: Two stories in this one. Good Communication (by Atsuki), as you might guess, is the WAFFY romantic one. Duo appears to be bedbound and Heero is caring for him. They talk and they talk and they talk and they kiss and they hold hands, and then Duo proceeds to demonstrate that he's 'feeling much better now'. Bad Communication is definitely on the darker side. Heero the big bad seme jumps Duo in the hangar. There's bondage, coercion, not a lot of violence (though there is a bit of blood). For a rape dj, its pretty standard if light fair. Opinion: Its a strange mix; I suppose the djka were playing with two yaoi extremes (sap and rape), but neither really pushes that limit. If nc stories make you uncomfortable, I'd give this one a pass. Personally I liked it. If the art in GC had been better I might have liked that story more. Definitely PWP, so if you're looking for a good story or interesting character development you won't find it here (unless that 11 page convo in GC was more significant than it looked) Reviewed by Arakune BACK
