I have been watching Coronation Street for many years. My mother used to watch it when I was a child and I thought it was boring. When that music came on it signalled that mom wasn't to be disturbed till her show was over and I may have resented it then. Now I understand the power that music can have over a person. My heart skips a beat when I hear it and if I'm not already in front of the telly when it comes on, I drop what I'm doing and get there, so as not to miss a moment. Considering the plots and characters that I remember from my childhood, I couldn't have found it that boring, because I was paying attention!
