So, the summer is here and I’ve been taking full advantage of it. I could do without the 100+ degree weather and all. But I’ll take what I can get here in the good ‘ol midwest.
I’ve been taking a couple of online summer courses at Washburn. Criminal Law and Police & The Community. Pretty interesting courses, just tough to commit your time to school when you have vacations, work, partying, etc. But that’s life, uh. I’m taking both finals today for the courses … so I’ll have till the 16th or so of August to just chill and relax.
I’ve been on a couple of trips since the summer started. I headed out to Las Vegas in June with some family and friends. That was a good time. I won a little this time, as opposed to last June when I flew out there. My brother made out around $400 up on roulette, that’s my new game now. I did a random road trip a couple of weeks following that with my buddy, Greg. We went up and visited my friend, Liz, in Minnesota. Did some gambling, chilled, had a good time. Then I spent the weekend of the 4th of July down at the Lake of the Ozarks with my brother and some friends. That was pretty awesome. A lot of drinking, boat riding, jumping off of cliffs, chilling on that trip. I can see why people spend thousands to live down there for two months of the year. You’ll be able to find me down there more often.
Work has been work. I’m still doing loss prevention work … just watching the cameras and chasing after shoplifters. Not the most exciting line of work, but it’s great experience as far as being in the criminal justice field. I’ll be out of Washburn in December. I’ll have that piece of paper that says I committed to an institution for so many years and spent so much money, blah blah blah. Looking forward to it though. Also, looking forward to getting out of Topeka and probably heading back to KC.

I fell asleep for a few months. I actually got a few e-mails and remarks regarding not updating my funny pictue page ... it was truly amazing. So, here I am.
I've pretty much been busy with school and work -- the usual. Also, I've been developing some web sites for some friends and family. Therefore, I don't get to spend my "extra time" on my own web site. That's what I get for being addicted to making web sites and offering my services for free. I'm blabbing.
School is a pain in my ass. But hey, it'll be 5 years pretty soon so I'm looking forward to getting it over with and graduating w/my edu-m-aa-cation in December 2003. In other words, Geography is kicking my ass and I don't give two shits. I'm taking it pass/fail, so it's gravy.
Work has been slow. But with the weather warming up in the midwest, it's time for the theives to arrive at the mall so I can chase them around. So, the next time you're in JCPenneys in Topeka walk out with something and see what will happen. Exciting stuff, eh?
