Western Kansas Guide service is located in Hays Kansas right off I-70 and Hwy.183 with close to 35,000 acres of private ground, along with public Cedar Bluff Lake ground to hunt. Open prairies and tree lined creek bottoms. We offer great deer hunting both for Whitetail and Mule deer. 140 to 170 class Whitetails and Mule deer that can often score 180 and up.
Pheasant and Quail license fees are $65.00 for out of state and can be purchased over the counter. Out of state Deer permits are $205.50. Motel reservations can be made for you at your request. Hunters are responsable for lodging fees. We will clean and store the birds for you untill you depart. All Deer hunters will take responsibality for the price of processing and locker fees. We have local meat lockers at your service. All booking for Deer should be made after the permit has been issued. All bird hunts should be at least 10-30 days in advance. All hunts must have 50% down and the remaning 50% one week before the hunt. No refunds for cancelation. Units for Deer-2 and 5 preffered with hunts in 4 also. Lunch will be served at $25.00 a day extra.
Pheasant and Quail hunting in western Kansas has been known as the best in the U.S. The green wheat, corn, milo and sunflower fields are abundent. When you add the CRP fields for great bird cover, it makes a hunt that will keep you coming back year after year. Bird population is up and the hunting will be great. And the hunting gets better as year goes on into January. Price for bird hunting is $125.00 a day, max 3 days, with no more than 5 hunters at a time. Price for Deer is 700.00 for 4 days, with no more than 3 hunters at a time. Archery is Oct. 1st thru Dec. 31st. Two weeks break for rifle season. Rifle season starts Nov. 28th, and runs thruogh Dec. 9th. The draw for deer tags is, out of state applications should be sent in by May 30th.
