Have been on vacation, so just now attempting to get back into the flow of things. Thanks to all of you who wrote whilst I was out at Nancy's Farm. Had a flat coming up here tonight, so am too exhausted to write anything, having walked those killer hills with Mike Bell blasting ahead. Blastard. Heh heh. Will answer you all tomorrow--promise.

Wrote this yesterday and, as usual, it will self-destruct should any of you choose to accept it as "poetry." Notes...fine.

No Title...

I will despise the moon today
And ask the wind to go away
And steep my blood no more in sun
Dapple me with shadow till evening comes.

The singing voice accuses me of neglect
Miles undone, streets not taken,
And that wicked moon
Forsaken by this dreaming pagan son.

Send me to the sun
And dry my veins upon some
Parched place
Where the moon will not show
Her ancient face
Yet fresh
Fresher than mine.

Make me of stone next time
Leaning giddy in desert bare
By rivers dry
Going down to where
The dessicated memories lie
In unattended slumber
There to sit for a season
In sack, ashes, brown and umber.

Cheery, what? LOL. Hope all is well with you all. More tomorrow. I love you all. Truly, truly.
